Poor customer support. User manual has a number which they claim is a 24/7 service desk but no one answers when you call the the number. The user manual offers no instructions on fixing faults.
Ensure you read your contract carefully and not just take the consultant’s word for it. When I took out the 200GB Home Connecta contract, I was informed by one of the consultants (Secunda Mall Branch) that the cancellation fee would be a fraction of the remaining contract. To my surprise, customer service told me I would need to pay for the remaining months in full plus 50% of the remainder of the contract. Two entirely stories from the two consultants. This was quite disappointing.
When you have car claim against King Price, ensure you elect your own panelbeater to avoid the issue I’m currently having. The panelbeater (Sectri Autobody) that was chosen by King Price keeps extending the date of delivery of my car with no apparent reason or explanation. There appears to be no urgency or care whatsoever from King Price to put pressure on the panelbeater. I am now paying for car hire out of pocket with no given date to when will this happen. This is disappointing.
Quite disappointed that I will have to pay for car hire out of pocket when I was told that King Price would ensure that the panelbeater (which they chose by the way) would complete the work within the car hire time frame. I was also informed that King price would check with the panelbeater 5 days prior the expiration of the car hire to check the need for an extension. This was not done and I was told further car hire would be my own expense. This is quite a let down after I enquired about this very specific issue multiple times during the early days of the car hire.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to find anything good to say about the level of service at King Price. The rate at which things are done does not match what they preach. It has been over two weeks of King Price saying they are still processing the claim even after I went around to get all the things that they themselves said they would get. The service is poor at best.
After getting the claim approved, albeit it taking forever, I thought I’d be back to write a positive review. But no, it gets worse. Two months after the accident, I am still nowhere close to getting my car back. I have had to extend car hire out of pocket. The panelbeater THEY CHOSE for me has poor communication and cannot give me an estimated date of when the car might be ready. King Price does not seem bothered about much. Even after I was informed they would try and recover my excess for me. King Price’s service is beyond poor.
It is all good and well with King Price insurance when you paying your premiums but come time to settle a claim, you will experience the worst frustration imaginable. I was involved in a car accident and for 3 weeks I have been told King Price is still waiting to confirm the accident with the other party. THREE whole weeks. No one I have spoken to (except perhaps the assessor) has given me any sense of urgency or care. I have always had to call myself even after I was repeatedly told that the person handling the claim was sent a message and would get back to me. I have been massively underwhelmed by the service I have received from King Price. If you are shopping for insurance, please think twice before joining the “royal family.” The lip service King Price give is not worth the stress and frustration.
I was advised not to insure my car with Budget or any insurer administrated by Telesure for that matter. But after what appeared to be a reasonable premium at the time, I went ahead with them anyway. Fast-forward more than a year later, my claim for minor scratches was denied despite quotes clearly showing that the maximum amount I am insured for will cover the repairs. I can only imagine what would happen if one were to claim for bigger damages.
If you are considering using cell c as a service provider for anything, please save yourself some trouble. Their customer service is so poor that whatever benefit one hopes to derive using their service is not worth it. I am sitting with over R3600 worth of airtime on my phone due to advice given by one of their employees and I have now been told the 365 data I had planned to get I cannot actually get using the airtime. Their consultants helping with the issue have been of no help nor shown any interest in resolving the matter.
I previously enquired at Campus Square Cell C branch if I could use airtime to purchase the 200GB annual data package and one of the consultants confirmed to me that I could. Over the last year or so I have been loading airtime on my phone so I can buy the data bundles. I have now been told that I cannot buy the bundle I want through airtime. I am not stuck with over R3000 worth of airtime. I feel so let down by Cell C. I find this highly disappointing and incompetent of their staff.
