T. Jackson did my install and splicing. He did it incorrectly and instead of fixing it put in a request for another dept to sort it out, I waited 3 days while working from home for the other dept to get back to me. The technician that was sent out told me that the splicing was done incorrectly. I have been trying to get mr Jackson to assist me in rectifying HIS mistake. He has since provided me, with reference to my call with Home Connect, false information as to the status of my line. He is a liar and is incompetent in his role. I have given him ample chance to rectify his mistake he has in turn chosen to ignore my plight.
I've been waiting since the middle of April for my fibre relocation's installation and I get absolutely NO feedback from these people. They are the worst customer experience in existence honestly, save yourself the cost of bloodpressure medication and just go with telkom, at least one expects **** service from them. They cancelled my request because of lack of information, bearing in mind I sent the correct form to the correct email at the correct time and that they are my mobile service provider so they literally have all my contact details with them if further details were required. Now with the new order it's looking like more of the same. I don't hear back from them, maintenance still hasn't inspected the infrastructure and it doesn't matter how many times you call you'll just be treated like a mushroom, kept in the dark and fed ****.
I ordered 9K worth of parts for a pc build I'm doing on Friday 27th Nov 2020 at 8:22 am so before they open for business (instant payment and instant proof of payment received). Knowing that Evetech has a 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS lead period as I was reminded in time by the consultant (let's call him Mick) I contacted via email on the 1st Dec 2020 now on my 3 working days time limit. He tells me it will be processed on that day (1 Dec), I will receive a tracking nr and the order will be on it's way on the 2nd (yay I will have it before the weekend)...no. Mick didn't follow through, I did not receive a tracking number so I contact him again requesting info as to the ordeal "I ask for your patience and understanding during these crazy times." is a nice part of the reply I got that sums up their service delivery quite nicely I'd say. Buying at their premises prepare to wait bring breakfast and lunch and an umbrella cause the sun will scorch you raw, you know what take a blanket and the family, nice day out hanging in the parking lot. I decide this is unacceptable and contact them via phone, coincidence Mick answers. I tell him I want the issue escalated because clearly his word now means nothing to me after being guaranteed something by him and it not being followed through. "Management is in a meeting" the age old excuse but somehow he is able to contact his "Shipping Manager" though who guarantees it will be sent on the 3rd Dec. Now 2 days later that it's supposed to happen and he tells me "we only recently started as an online store" I have an order with them from July 2018, Online order, now I don't know what constitutes a recent event to Mick but in 2 years you should have the kinks worked out in my opinion. Now I have no idea when the parcel is going to get here if Mick's even going to stick to his word for a change. Just for reference I live 130km away from evetech, wootware computers is 1500km away, I ordered from them on the 20th eft'd on the next day, on the 24th I received my parcel. Wootware is able to service people in Evetech's back yard QUICKER than Evetech can from MILES away. Do yourself a favor don't bother with evetech, they are the worst, order on wootware, takealot even amazon as I think they will be quicker with INTERNATIONAL shipping than evetech is for local. This is not all though, I have twice returned an SSD to evetech that was faulty (2 different SSD's as the first one was replaced), once standing in the parking as stated above for 3 hours waiting for them just to pop it into a system to see "yeah it's a dud". A time before that I bought a RGB controller and a mouse from them, I sat from 9am until 1pm waiting for my order, at their premises, only for the sales consultant to tell me they don't indeed have stock of the item, I was not even 10m away and it takes them 3 hours to figure out they don't have stock, they gladly took my money but service delivery, you can't expect that from them now can you? As I have said to Mick, they are inept at customer service and I will never again purchase so much as a mousepad from them.
Been a 3 year account holder with this company only to find out that they have been overcharging me by R140p/m when comparing their prices with their prices on the website. Also the R3500 I paid as an initial installation, which on their website states :"Connecting to Xpress network, ongoing maintenance and support of equipment". After complaining to them for over 2 years about dropped networks, slow network specifically asking them if the hardware is sound and them telling me it's not the hardware, they figured out it was indeed the antenna. Now they tell me they did not charge me for the replacement of this antenna out of the kindness of their hearts. They said they would split my network between myself and my mother so we don't infringe on the other's bandwidth yet that has not happened even though the contact person told me "it has been going like that for 2 months". They will not automatically drop your service fee if they do experience the ability to do so (this from the horse's mouth) but will increase it if they experience a need to do so. The technicians don't reply on the standby number. In short, money hungry, unhelping, and just a bad experience to the customer for myself and my family at the very least. If you want to use frognet prepare to use mobile data (as I am right now) because you will be offline alot.
