The way Vodacom forces clients to take on a new contract is appaling, ********* and *****ulent. I am sure is ********l. I was called by one of their agents to be told that I will receive a free new Huawei phone. I said I did not want one and that I do not want a contract, I want to remain on a month to month basis. He carried on that this is a free phone for being a long term customer as a thank you gesture for not migrating to another service provider. I was reluctant to accept this as I told the agent that in my expereince there is not such a thing as a free lunch and doubted this is true. He carried on that this a free phone from Vodacom and reassured me this does not imply a contract but remain on a month to month basis. After making sure this is correct I allowed this and he sent me the phone. I was just notified this morning that my contract with Vodacom was initiated and expires in 2029. I was fuming with indignation. Called, complained, and it was escalated. Still waiting for a reply. No email yet to confirm. They will have to check the recording. I am so disgusted with this approach I want tho throw up. I will never trust anything that comes from Vodacom ever again. I hope my complaint gets resolved they can get the Huawei back and cancel my unwanted contract. If I wanted a contract I would have not chosen a Huawei anyway. Aparently I had 14 days to cancel but what to cancel when no message confirming the contract within such period. It was deliberate. Thinking was a free phone, what was then to cancel not knowing I have entered one!!!. Last year I was charged for extra data on my phone, the bill went up to nearly R850 a month - also without my permission. Again I had to complain. For whomever reads this do not accept anyhting from them, and for those that are working there, I am sorry but you will lose lifetime clients. Maybe you think is worth it. I dont.
Called a day before and booked to have wifi fixed as it had no signal. The bookig was for 9:30. Waited for 3 hours and nothing, no call to say I am late, or give an estimation. Nothing. I give a star forthe fact that after a long time callin someone answered and made the booking, but not happy with this service. They did not even bother to call the customer back to check or reschedule for another time. They must make a lot of money if one customer is so insignificant?
i am giving it 5 stars. They arrived in time, fast efficient and thorough. Furniture protected and wrapped in protective sheets, they know what is needed for the customer and that menas protecting the goods they move for you. Lwandile's team did a fast and efficient job. I will se them again in July 2025 definitely as I am moving again. You are not wasting money here. i\It is wort it every cent you pay for peace of mind.
My cellphone contract with Vodacom ended on the 13th of June 2024 and I received a call for an upgrade and said I want to continue on a month to month basis. I just received an sms two days ago which says I have been upgraded and my new contract now ends in 2026. How is this even possible? I contacted vodacom to ask and the call operator escalated my query. I also sent an email to both customer care and cancellations and received a referrence. But what concerns me the most is that this process lacks integrity and the promised customer care. Maybe is time to change the provider.
