I recently faced a difficult time with the passing of my mother, who was a long-time member of the New Apostolic Church. When I reached out to her designated priest for guidance on funeral arrangements, I was referred to Goodall and Bourne, among others, and trusted his referral after he said they are family of his, with the expectation that they would provide exceptional service. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but satisfactory. From the outset, I was shocked to discover unexpected charges. Candice from Goodall failed to inform me about a R5,000 fee for a YouTube link to include distant family members in the memorial service, only to later inform me it wasn’t possible due to timing constraints over Easter weekend. This left us feeling blindsided. Additionally, we incurred an extra R750 charge for altar flowers that did not meet our requests AT ALL. While I appreciated receiving a refund for the flowers, Lynn Truter’s comment that this was "the only thing" they were at fault with felt dismissive of our overall experience. The service itself was distressing. We had explicitly communicated my mother’s wishes regarding her memorial, but Goodall and Bourne insisted on a coffin, disregarding our requests. The demand for us to collect flowers ourselves if we chose not to have a coffin was unprecedented and showed a lack of sensitivity during an already difficult time. They handled the claim on behalf of me which I gave consent to BEFORE I could know what sharks they are, claiming R20,750, which one industry insider referred to as "daylight *******”. NOT ONCE did they even ask me for my banking details, indicating a troubling lack of transparency. My brother initially supported the idea of a coffin for closure but changed his mind when he realized the associated costs, yet our wishes were not respected. Comparing Goodall and Bourne to Avbob, which Goodall and Bourne referred to as “inferior” and yet they deliver far better services at reasonable prices AND do not force things onto people for an extra buck, showed me how misled I was. My mother’s priest advised against Avbob without mentioning we had a choice, leaving us with regret. Moreover, I had to manage complications regarding my residency address that they filled in completely incorrectly on the form, which led to further stress during an already overwhelming time. Lynn Truter’s communication was marked by contempt and a lack of empathy, culminating in her blocking me after suggesting I open a case at SAPS if I felt I was done by. In conclusion, my experience with Goodall and Bourne was deeply disappointing. Their lack of professionalism and compassion during such a sensitive time is unacceptable, and I would not recommend their services to anyone.
I have been trying to cancel my credit card that took FOREVER to pay off and simply cannot get hold of the department telephonically. They place you on hold for ages until the call cuts off. Then when you go into a branch to close it you are told you HAVE to do it telephonically. WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I bought a voucher on FOMO and despite receiving email after email of their deals, I didn't receive my voucher and cannot get hold of them. The contact number they have available doesn't exist.
WHY do you have the option to select a female driver and then offer male drivers instead? With the crime cases in the news against Uber drivers makes it a massive risk for a woman alone to book with a male driver. My female colleague and I tried to book the option of a female driver only and after battling for an hour we eventually gave up and accepted the male driver. DON'T OFFER AN OPTION WHEN IT'S NOT AVAILABLE!!!!!
Our internet was off for over 24 hours and despite Mweb advising the matter had been restored and to reboot the router which we had done 5 times now, there remains NO internet access. Trying to call them is a nightmare. Caller number 12 and then try and call back later and then the queue is even longer.
Earlier today my Capitec app on my phone kept telling me I could not log in. I restarted my phone and eventually when I managed to get in, an amount of R25 went off as a card purchase when I DID NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASES TODAY AT ALL. Because this was not the first time I experienced this and similar *****ulent purchases went off a few months ago, I immediately called Capitec ***** line as I'm also nervous more of these transactions are going to go off against my account. Well! How utterly unprofessional of the woman who answered and told me she highly doubts someone would **** me for a small amount after I told her a few times that I DID NOT USE MY CARD OR MAKE ANY PURCHASES!!!! I want a manager to call me immediately. I suppose I will have to change banks as Capitec is clearly not safe.
My car was badly sc****d and dented in the front in a parking area and whoever caused it didn't leave their details. My car was taken to Dals for an exorbitant quote of almost 50k and Santam informed me because the value of my car is only almost 80k this is deemed a write-off. Now I'm asked for my Natis documents in addition. In other words, they want to pay me out for my car. My car will then be fixed and sold at a profit by them. WHY did I take out insurance? To be taken for a ride like this? Years ago when a truck drove into the back of my car, the claim was hassle-free. I am sorely regretting coming over to Santam. How on God's green earth can a deep sc**** and dent to a bumper cost almost 50k? HOW? Dals are infamous for overquoting. Just check their bad reviews. I did not work my butt off for a car to be taken for a ride like this! My car is NOT uneconomical to repair. Use reputable people!!!!
CLICKS CENTREPOINT's dispensary service needs serious intervention! It just gets worse and worse and frustrating. But hey, it's the new SA "don't care" attitude!
Karen, WHY did you relocate to Pretoria? Now I'm back to square one with the unhelpful, argumentative, and *********** staff causing my aged mother's medication to be late yet again. For God's sake, I go through this EVERY MONTH FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS. WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These sharks never repaired my fridge entirely. I had to loan R1250 for a 10-minute job and the guy agreed that he would come and collect the cash the next day from me which he did. I got an invoice with a 6-month warranty. A few days later my fridge started icing up at the back and my vegetables are getting spoilt. I reported this and got no reply other than what temperature it is set at. This morning I was told a message will be sent to the owner, whoever that is, to call me. I'm yet to receive a call back. I sent emails and WhatsApp messages. Eventually he tells me because payment wasn't made immediately (take note the guy agreed to come collect cash the next day) I violated my guarantee! HOW?! I am SO sorry I never checked reviews for these sharks before. Please raise awareness against these *******s!
