Based on recent customer reviews, Prasa is facing widespread dissatisfaction from commuters across multiple regions including Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Germiston. A recurring theme is unreliable train schedules, with customers consistently mentioning long delays, overcrowded carriages, and sudden timetable changes that disrupt daily commutes. Riders frequently raise concerns about rude or inattentive staff, security personnel restricting access to empty carriages, and poor station maintenance including litter and unfinished contractor work. While some commuters appreciate the new trains and police presence, complaints about ignored emails and unresponsive management dominate the feedback.

I booked City to City last year and Prasa said they will give me a voucher to use to substitute the bus issue I had that lasted 3months. Did I ever recieve that voucher?, No. When I called to get it I never received it and 3months passed by. My communication was with Mmaletsake, Mpho and Billy was even CC'd on those emails. Use their services at your own risk.

I app**** for some posts at prasa through an email and the response I got is shocking 😲 Here's what it says: Hello applicant We successfully received your application at Prasa (Passenger Rail Agency Of South Africa) we will review your application and respond back to you. If you're interested in this job opportunity, there's someone who's in charge of application selection. So if you are interested and you can manage to talk to him, you can tell me then I will give you his contact details so that you can talk with him. But he needs R1000 because you don't do an interview, he can assist your application to get this job opportunity without doing an interview and if you are interested I can give you his number but if you don't understand it you can wait for your application to be selected for an interview then you will do an interview. I am informing you because your surname it's like families thanks you! My name is Vela Huza and I have been using trains since the days of the old trains that has been recently replaced by the new ones. I am staying in Khayelitsha in the Western Cape hence I am using the Central line but something that I view as highly unacceptable is happening at the central line platforms. People are allowed to stand in numbers in front of the train doors before it opens just minutes before departure and you will see chaos when commuters push each other in order to get the first seat available. Why are the trains opened in time just like in other platforms for other commuters from various areas except Khayelitsha, I call it selective treatment of commuters and it has a racial feel in it. Please open all the trains then the first commuter gets the first seat, finish and klaar. They claim that people from Khayelitsha eat in the Trains, then get security guys to sort that out. Please.
