I am absolutely furious with the level of care my pets received here. I brought both of my rats in yesterday, clearly explaining that one of them was making a bubbling sound, sneezing, and struggling to breathe, all obvious signs that something was seriously wrong. Despite me being visibly distressed and repeatedly insisting that this was not normal, the vet dismissed my concerns, claimed the lungs sounded “clear,” and simply gave an injection without properly addressing the issue. I made it very clear that I was not comfortable with that assessment, but I was not listened to. Now, less than 24 hours later, my rat is still struggling and I’ve been desperately searching for another vet since 18:23 because the exact same symptoms are continuing. This could have been taken seriously from the start. Paying for such careless, dismissive service is unacceptable. When an animal’s life is potentially at risk, the bare minimum should be listening to the owner and investigating properly - not brushing concerns off. I would not recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone. My pet’s wellbeing has been jeopardised because a vet chose not to listen. I recommend a 0 star rating if I could.

I HIGHLY recommend Park Veterinary Hospital. We traveled 30 minutes, taking a leap of faith and placing our fur baby in the hands of people we did not know. From the moment we arrived with what we would call an emergency, we were met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. The reception staff are incredibly friendly and reassuring, which makes such a difference during stressful times. A heartfelt thank you to ALL the veterinarians involved in helping our Luna with exceptional care, compassion, and dedication — it is clear that they truly love what they do and treat every animal as if it were their own. No doubt about that. We were also pleasantly surprised by their fair and affordable pricing, especially considering the high level of care and professionalism we received. It truly shows that they care about animals and their families, not just the bill. A very special thank you to Wilma, who went above and beyond to keep us updated about our fur baby, Luna. Her communication, empathy, and constant reassurance meant the world to us and helped ease our anxiety during a difficult time while having to leave our baby behind. Thank you, Park Veterinary Hospital, for your outstanding service and for treating our dog with such love and respect. We are deeply grateful. Lots of love, The Miles Family 🐾💙

Dr Werner Koen assisted me with Archiebell yesterday. She was rescued from Cape Town and arrived in Johannesburg last Saturday but was in a very bad state due to the fact that she was rescued from a horrible area. He was kind and loving towards this dog and did ALL he could to ensure that Archs will be treated with the correct medication and be more comfortable going forward. WELL DONE DOC - Archie is thankful for the love you showed towards her yesterday.

I took my cat there as she was ill. Without proper examination they said she had a virus. Then as the treatment didn't work they said she had a bactéria. They didn't even do a blood smear!I went there for nearly 2 weeks and nearly R2000 later I took my cat for a second opinion. In not even half an hour I had a diagnoses which was then confirmed by exray. How can some be so competente and others so useless? Park veterinary hospital is only interested in making money they do not love animals.

I took my Eclectus parrot to the above Dr. He is only 9 months old and it was his first to the Vet. I took him there to get his wings, beak and nails seen too. His one wing was clipped in September 2014 but I have been struggling with it as it was not cut properly and wanted it to be seen to and perhaps advised as to help get it to grow better, as he is getting irritated with it and bites it alot. This vet got an \assistant"to come and handle my child. He used a leather glove and I explained he was very gentle and could be taken out of the carrier by saying step up"
