We ordered a lounge suite from Leather Gallery, Shelley Beach. Kzn , signed the quotation and paid a deposit after selecting a color from the options they provided.
Shortly afterwards, we were informed that our chosen color was not available and had to select another one. A few days later, we received another call advising that their fabricator had run out of material again, requiring us to choose yet another color after we had gone through 3 colors.
To make matters worse, Leather Gallery then wanted to charge us more than the signed quotation price for the same material, simply because it was a different color. This is despite us already having a signed quotation in place.
If a customer decides to cancel due to these ongoing issues, they insist on keeping 10% of the deposit. This creates the impression that customers are being trapped into either paying more than agreed or losing part of their money.
We were told that someone would get back to us to resolve the matter, but we have heard nothing. We have sent emails and attempted to follow up, yet no response has been received.
This whole experience has been extremely frustrating and raises serious concerns about how this business operates. We expected professional service and honest communication, but instead, we have experienced delays, changing information, additional charges, and poor customer service.
I would advise potential customers to proceed with caution.
