I app**** for credit at Russells early April and was approved as i wanted to purchase a couch. The saleslady called me a few times to come in and purchase but i wasn't sure as to which couch i wanted. Later in April i knew which couch i wanted so i went to the Russells Pmb Main Street store I had a look at the couch they didn't have it on the sales floor so the sales lady googled it on her PC and I showed her the one i wanted. She said they have it she then checked if my credit application was still available but it had expired. I again asked her if they have the couch she said they did so I told her i will come back after work to reapply for credit as i was on my lunch break. This is April 28 I went back after work she processed the application and said it was declined. I left the store on my way home I decided that i want to lay-by the couch so i drove back it was 5:10pm she said I can't do a lay-by because they cashup at 4.45pm. WHY ADVERSTISE CLOSING TIMES AT 6PM WHEN YOU CASHUP AT 4:45PM? I went back the next day April 29 to do the lay-by she then told me the cost of the delivery I said that's fine i will do the lay-by. NOW AFTER ALL THE RUNNING UP AND DOWN she tells me "THEY DON'T HAVE STOCK" I asked her so if my credit application was approved yesterday how was i going to get the couch. She then denies telling me that she said they had stock. She and the manager are then having a conversation in ZULU in front of me as if I'm not there. I had to ask the manager what was she saying . She says the sales lady said she didn't tell me she had stock. I asked her why would i be coming to the store so many times if she told me she didn't have stock. the Manager has the audacity to tell me "IT'S MY WORD AGAINST HERS" The staff are absolutely unprofessional and don't care about the customer likes it's like you must take any couch as long as they make a sale.. Both the saleslady and the manager need customer training. PLEASE VIEW YOUR CAMERA FOOTAGE AND SEE HOW I'M STANDING THERE WHILST THE TWO OF THEM ARE COMMUNICATING IN ZULU. I did purchase a couch from Russells previously but didn't receive this pathetic service. I will not return to this branch.
