Jetour South Africa
Based on recent customer reviews, Jetour South Africa is facing significant customer experience challenges across multiple dealership branches. Customers consistently mention vehicle defects emerging shortly after purchase, including electrical faults, starting issues, radiator failures and steering concerns. A recurring theme is poor after-sales support, with buyers describing unanswered communication, unresolved warranty disputes, and delays in registration, reimbursements and parts availability. While an isolated voice praises a helpful sales experience, the dominant sentiment reflects frustration with accountability, product reliability and dealership professionalism, with several customers referencing the Consumer Protection Act.

Good Day I made a purchase of two extras (spare wheel cover and side box) for my new Jetour Odyssey. I was assisted by one of their salesperson (Mr Tyrone Lobb) from the Jetour Durban City Branch who offered me these items and who advised me to make the payments and order through him (as Jetour allegedly does not automatically supply these extras with the vehicle). I made payments to him on the 13 March 2026 and 27 March 2026 for the total amount of R8200. These items were promised to me within 6 weeks from ordering and til this day I have received nothing. I have watsapp conversations as proof of these assertions as evidence. I am concerned that as a Professional Business (Jetour) a salesperson can engage with a client in this way yet does not fulfil his agreement. It reflects an egregious lack of integrity as a brand. Not only that, but I am due the items I paid for or my money back. It is that simple.

These individuals allow factory inherited defective vehicles to be sold to the public that are safety concerns to the users without declaring the defects to the consumer. When confronted for support they walk away!

I purchased my vehicle from Jetour Bryanston in November, and it unfortunately did not come with a spare key. I was told at the time that the key had been misplaced and that they would arrange a replacement. It has now been several months, and despite multiple follow-ups and repeated promises, the spare key has still not been provided. Communication has been poor, and I’ve had to constantly chase for updates with no resolution. Out of concern for my own situation — especially if I were to lose the only key I currently have — I decided to take matters into my own hands. Jetour then agreed that I could source the key myself and be reimbursed. I obtained a quote and invoice from VW as the vehicle is a Polo purchased through their Jetour Bryanston branch. However, even after doing this, they are now taking an unreasonably long time to process the reimbur*****t. The entire experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and disappointing. I expected far better service and accountability when purchasing a vehicle. Unfortunately, this has been a very poor experience overall.

On 13 February 2026, my 🚩2025 Jetour X70 Plus🚩which I have less than two months in my possession suddenly lost steering control during peak traffic. As I had just crossed the robot after turning green, driving under 60km/h, the vehicle aggressively pulled to the left without warning. I attempted to correct it, but it continued pulling left, it than spinned, and landed on a Rea Vaya barrier. There is currently a rear damage which happened after the vehicle mounted the barrier, not before. This was not normal driving behaviour. It felt like the vehicle lost it's memory and control. Just for noting: I am a licensed driver since 2010 and have never experienced anything like this before. The dealership has now classified this as accident damage, but I dispute that conclusion because the loss of control and swerving occurred before the vehicle landed on the barrier. Jetour Hatfield conducted an inspection and indicated that no mechanical faults were found on the front of the vehicle and that the only diagnostic fault related to the right rear ABS, which they attribute to accident damage. I strongly dispute this conclusion, as the swerving and loss of control occurred before any collision or rear impact. Given: The extremely short period of ownership The vehicle still being under warranty The sudden loss of control and abnormal vehicle behaviour The fact that the rear damage occurred after the loss of control There is reasonable cause to suspect a possible factory fault, steering system malfunction, electronic control failure, ABS malfunction, or manufacturing defect. In terms of Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (Imp**** Warranty of Quality), goods must be safe, of good quality, in working order, and free of defects. A vehicle that loses steering control without warning cannot be considered safe. I therefore request: A full independent forensic mechanical and electronic investigation. A detailed written technical report. Clarification on how mechanical or electronic failure has been ruled out. Appropriate remedy in terms of the Consumer Protection Act should a defect be confirmed. This matter involves vehicle safety and could have resulted in serious injury or loss of life. I request urgent intervention. Vehicle safety is not negotiable.

I bought my Jetour at Boksburg, the after-sales service was pathetic because my X70 was advertised as a demo model and when i collected the vehicle I discovered it had a previous owner. The Sales person was just never to be found, and eventually i engaged with the Branch Manager, who was also full of promises and dismall. I had a problem when i take a u-turn, there is a flapping sound on the drivers side, according to Jetour SA there is nothing wrong, but the noise is notacible. I also lodged a few complaints about the drivers seat which is supposed to move when you get in and out of the vehicle, which is not doing that, the same problem continues to pop up. I messaged Jetour SA two weeks ago, and to date no response. This is a new brand, however, i will never recommend it to other people, not with my experiences.

Good day, +/- 3 months ago I had a terrible experience (on my own) at Jetour Menlyn when I stopped there to view the T2 as a possible vehicle for my wife and raised my dissatisfaction on Google reviews, a few weeks later Jetour responded with those semi automated responses. Today I stopped their again with my wife and kids for us to view hoping a second chance would be much more satisfactory... it was not, nothing changed... its terrible. There was one silver T2 at the back (sold) but the receptionist later approached us as it was locked and said she will find out from someone if they could open it. Nobody came back to us and I literally walked out after about 10 minutes shaking my head with other sales people watching yet no reaction. People need to realize... if its like this even before purchasing this brand, how will after sales be. Im totally over this brand because of my second bad experience today. Sad indeed ...
