Purchased an exide battery 25/11/2024 from Alberton North Franchise . Battery was defective Marcj 2026, therefore coverder under warranty. Had 25 month warranty. Condition of sale was " a copy of an invoice will be acceptable in the case of an warranty claim". Also terms of and conditions indicated " a loan battery will be given in the interim. Neither Duncan, the person behind the counter, or Preston would supply a loan battery. Preston refused to take my call and would not engage with me telephonically at all even on their company cell phone. Now Preston will not give me a refund, or a new battery citing he has to have the original invoice and original warranty claim which contradicts the terms and conditions at point of sale clearly displayed on top of the sales desk when the battery was sold to me. At first Preston was going to process the warranty claim but has now done a complete reversal of his commitment and refuses to honour the warranty citing I have to supply the original invoice. I will never deal with Preston and infinity battery again.

I purchased a EXIDE BATTERY(costing R1400) from INFINITY BATTERY (18 Victoria Road PMB 3201) on the date 16 of april 2025, with a 2 year warranty. 10 months after purchase (20 Feb 26) I started experiencing issues with the battery, the next day(21st Feb & 22 Feb 26) my car refused to start. (23rd Feb 26)I took the battery back to the store "Infinity Battery". 2 salemans were there ,I presented my proof purchase and battery at front desk,I explained issues I faced with it .Theyrefused to test it because the battery to them looked swollen ,I asked them to show me were was it swollen ,the othr saleman quickly changed the topic saying they can't do anything and warranty is fallen off because the battery poles are 'damaged and broken', 'not in good condition'. They took a photo of my battery and said they are sending it to the person who 'passes credit' which was nonsense because led then i minute they said they cant do anything. I have persistently requested for the battery technician name & contact number as it has only been 10 months after purchase and the battery was not damaged NEITHER DID IT HAVE BROKEN POLES. The salesman rudely said he doesn't know the techican name and contact details any battery company should aleast know the technicians contact details for the battery they storing or Even have a direct line to manufacture rs of the batteries to process claims on warranty. I left store because they findly said they would "try to find the technician" After weeks of back and forth and countless of phone calls with more excuses as to why they cant test battery or give me another battery even though it was only 10 months after purchase, i had enough and took matters into my owns hands. I haD contacted EXIDE BATTERY HEADOFFICE in Johannesburg. Spoke to a lady by the name of Imbali and she was very helpful, she transfer me to THE regional manager of Excide Battery of KwaZulu-Natal Mr Wyne, TO MY SUPRISE he informed me That the company doesn't supply Excide batteries to "Infinity Battery" The only store MR Wyne supplies Exide Batteries to in Pietermaritzburg is First Battery Center.He told me to go to First Battery Center ,speak to Mr Kevin Palframan ,who he would let know I'm coming . I immediately went to Battery Center in pmb Mr Kevin was already waiting for me. Kevin thereafter asked me to leave the battery with him as he needs to put it on charge and see if the battery picks up charge. He informed me that the battery is in very good condition including the pole of the battery ,and no swelling he was shocked . THAT same evening I recieved a call from Kevin saying the battery hasn't even picked up charge. Within 2 days , on Friday 13 march 2026 the battery has been sent to the factory.On Tuesday the 17 march 2026 Mr Kevin call to inform me that the credit for my battery has been passed & l can through to pick up the new battery Mr wyne and MR Kevin was of extremely helpful & extremely professional Had I known that Infinity Battery Store doesn't actually get the Exide batteries DRIECTLY FROM the Manufacturer I would not of purchased. Please don't buy from this store .

Judging by the other reviews and our own lived experience you can clearly see ALL their batteries last less than one year and they do not honor the one year warranty they give you when purchasing the battery. It is ******* and it seems like this is their core business selling s**** batteries as new and then refusing to exchange when it dies before a year goes by

Don't use these guys, they are a bunch of ******! They will use any and every excuse to not honor the warrenty. They will insist that only the original invoice is valid (a copy is not good enough), they will look for the smallest reason to void the warrenty (the slightest of scratch on the terninal), then they will try to give you a loan battery instead of replacement.

We bought a battery from Infinity Battery in February 2024. When the battery started giving problems, we went back to the store expecting some kind of support. Instead, we were told they couldn’t help us without an invoice — even though we showed them proof of purchase AND the battery clearly has their branding on it. Apperently they do not keep record of what was purchased with them What makes it even worse is that the battery was tested and found to be faulty, yet we still received no assistance. It feels incredibly frustrating that the product failed just before the warranty period ended, and they still refused to help. Based on our experience, the customer service was unhelpful and dismissive. I would not recommend purchasing anything from this company. The lack of accountability and support is honestly the worst I’ve dealt with.

We bought a battery from Infinity Battery in February 2024. When the battery started giving problems, we went back to the store expecting some kind of support. SINCE JULY 2025 I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE @InfinityBattery Isipingo, I PAID FOR WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A BRAND NEW CAR BATTERY WHICH GAVE ME ENDLESS PROBLEMS IN JUST A MONTH. THEY THEN OFFERED A “LOAN” BATTERY AND MY CAR KEPT GLITCHING AND TURNING OFF AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REBOOSTED EVERY TIME I STOPPED AND WHEN I CALLED AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION TO THE OWNER BY THE NAME OF PRESTON, HE SAID I WILL HAVE TO BRING IN THE BATTERY, EVEN AFTER I TOLD HIM I WAS AN HOUR AWAY AND I AM WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO COME AND BOOST ME. HE JUST DIDNT CARE AND SAID THEY CAN ONLY ASSIST ME IF I BRING BACK THE BATTERY WHICH I DID TWICE AND TODAY WAS THE 3rd TIME AS I WAS MEANT TO COLLECT THE “ORIGINAL” BATTERY WHICH THEY SAID WAS TESTED AND THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, BUT AS SOON AS I RESTARTED THE CAR, IT IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF AND WHEN I RESTARTED IT AGAIN, IT SHOWED ERRORS AND WHEN THE ASSISTANT CALLED HIM TO EXPLAIN, HE GAVE ME THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!!! THAT PRESTON WHATEVER HIS NAME IS, IS SOOO RUDE AND RUNS AWAY FROM CUSTOMERS AND MAKES THAT SMALL BOY AT RECEPTION TO DEAL WITH FRUSTRATED CUSTOMERS!! HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT CARE AFTERWARDS AND BLAME YOU AS THE CUSTOMER ( and tell you that a car can drive from Dbn to Jhb without a battery so their battery was definitely NOT the issue) YOU WILL BE ON THE PHONE TRYING TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF AND HE WONT EVEN LISTEN TO YOU SINCE HE HAS ALREADY TAKEN YOUR MONEY. I bought a battery from the Victoria branch pietermaritzburg and a few months it's stop charging car was checked by a professional it's not the car and it's got a 2 year warranty they are a absolute bunch of idiots they do not want to refund me nor replace the battery saying it's not their fault this plz needs to b closed down ppl do not support this place they are the worst ppl to do any business with I repeat DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE
