Purchased an exide battery 25/11/2024 from Alberton North Franchise . Battery was defective Marcj 2026, therefore coverder under warranty. Had 25 month warranty. Condition of sale was " a copy of an invoice will be acceptable in the case of an warranty claim". Also terms of and conditions indicated " a loan battery will be given in the interim. Neither Duncan, the person behind the counter, or Preston would supply a loan battery. Preston refused to take my call and would not engage with me telephonically at all even on their company cell phone. Now Preston will not give me a refund, or a new battery citing he has to have the original invoice and original warranty claim which contradicts the terms and conditions at point of sale clearly displayed on top of the sales desk when the battery was sold to me. At first Preston was going to process the warranty claim but has now done a complete reversal of his commitment and refuses to honour the warranty citing I have to supply the original invoice. I will never deal with Preston and infinity battery again.
What an incompetent unethical unprofessional bunch of thieves. They have fraudulently allowed someone to apparently buy goods and allegedly delivered somewhere using my I.D. My I.D is protected by SAFPS so even after an affidavit and many phone calls to homechoice, and emails, they are unable to supply me with fica documentation they have on file with regards to fraudulently opening this account. Total bunch of idiots.
