Based on recent customer reviews, Hello Paisa is facing significant customer dissatisfaction, with a recurring theme centered on blocked or frozen accounts, FICA holds, and funds that customers say are inaccessible despite submitting requested documentation. Customers consistently mention delays in transfers, unresolved refund requests, and difficulty reaching meaningful support through the call centre. A smaller positive thread highlights helpful in-branch staff and resolution support via the Facebook page. Foreign nationals and remittance users in particular express distress about withheld funds and a perceived lack of accountability from the institution.

This has got to be one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. The call centre agents don’t seem to have proper product knowledge, especially when it comes to handling more complicated queries. Instead of getting clear assistance, I was left frustrated and without proper answers. Definitely very disappointing

I am writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with Hello Paisa. I received a payment from my insurer for a claimed damaged TV, but Hello Paisa has inexplicably blocked my account. I have called them multiple times and was told to send through all the supporting documents to prove where the money came from. I have submitted all the requested documents, including forwarding the original emails from the insurance company and confirmation of the payout. However, my account remains blocked, which is not only frustrating but also makes me feel like I am being ******. I have read numerous reviews on Hello Peter, and it appears that this is a common practice for Hello Paisa. I am deeply concerned about this and feel that it is unacceptable. I demand that my account be unblocked immediately and that I receive the money that is rightfully mine. I strongly urge Hello Paisa to address this issue and ensure that it does not happen to other clients in the future. This bank is the worst, and I will not stand for this treatment.

Hello Paisa has kept my account on FICA hold since October last year, despite me submitting all requested documents long ago. It has now been over 4 months, and I still cannot access my money. Customer support keeps delaying without providing a clear reason or resolution timeline. My passport is valid until 2030, so there is absolutely no justification for this prolonged hold. At this point, this feels like withholding customer funds without cause. I trusted Hello Paisa with my money, and this experience has been stressful, unacceptable, and deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this service unless they resolve FICA issues transparently and within a reasonable timeframe.

On 18 October 2025, I made an instant transfer from my FNB account to my Hellopaisa account (powered by Bidvest). The funds were successfully deducted from my FNB account. I have clear proof of payment, yet the funds have never reflected in my Hellopaisa account. As of 14 December 2025, this issue has been unresolved for almost two months. I have contacted FNB Business and Hellopaisa support multiple times. Instead of resolving the matter, I have been passed between departments, with no ownership, no feedback, and no resolution from either party. This complaint is now directed publicly at Hellopaisa, FNB, and Bidvest. I require the following within 48 hours: 1.Written confirmation of the exact location/status of the funds 2.Accountability on which institution is holding the funds 3.Immediate settlement — either credit to my Hellopaisa account or a full refund Failure to resolve this will result in escalation to the Banking Ombudsman, FSCA, and formal legal action, using all documentation already in my possession. This matter should never take two months for an instant transfer.
