I am extremely unhappy with the way Hahn Collections has handled this matter without properly investigating the dispute first. I recently received communication from Hahn Collections regarding an old Metrofibre account that was supposedly handed over for collections. The problem is that this account was replaced and supposedly closed by Metrofibre during 2025 after I experienced issues with it. At the time, I specifically confirmed with Metrofibre’s agent that the old account would be closed permanently and that I only needed to continue paying the new account that they opened for me. I have been paying the new account ever since. Now I am suddenly being chased for an old account that Metrofibre themselves told me was closed. When I attempted to explain the situation and dispute the matter, I was told to go to the police station and open a dispute. Why should I be running around doing all of this because of poor administration and communication between Metrofibre and their collections department? Surely before handing someone over or demanding payment, proper investigations should first be done, especially where there is a clear dispute and where call recordings exist that can confirm what the customer was told. This situation has caused unnecessary stress and frustration, and I am not happy with how casually this matter is being handled while my name and credit profile are potentially being affected. I expect this matter to be properly investigated before any further collection action is taken against me.

Shared proof of payment in March 2026 for payment of last years TV license R500. Every day they send me sms's to tell me to pay. I have sent them proof of payment. Have emailed them over and over. They are frustrating me especially since I do not even watch SABC or anything. I do not want to be harassed. They should get systems that are integrated and up their IT processes.

Unprofessional and heartless Manager by the name of Tebogo Tlou I am very disappointed in how i was treated by Tebogo and my team leader Lerato Tlou I worked at Hahn Collections for 2 years and was let go after having to take time off for a serious sickness. Instead of showing any understanding,Tebogo dismissed me without proper discussion or consideration of my situation. The whole process felt cold and rushed. No support, no flexibility, just “policy is policy” even when I explained the circumstances. Communication from Tebogo was poor, and I felt like just a number, not a person. If you have family responsibilities or ever need compassion from your employer, I wouldn’t recommend working here. They talk about “values” but don’t live them when it actually matters. Not just only that l,Tebogo have her favorites for example there's this guy called Khutšo,he came months after me,he worked as an Agent for 3 months after he got promoted to work as a QA jikijiki his a Whole Hiring Manager like how,cause he never collected more than me,just be because he gave her a brown envelope or bought her something,because before she dismissed me,she asked me if I can buy her a hand bag,we can talk but because I refused to do so she told me not to come back. I think management have to take a serious action about this whole situation,we're not working because of her,this is painful.

Complaint about Tebogo the Manager Dear Human Resources / Management, I hope this letter finds you well. I previously worked at Hahn Collections as a debt collector. I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the treatment I experienced during my employment under the management of Tebogo and Lerato. During my time at the company, I experienced ongoing bullying, ************, and unprofessional conduct that created a hostile and emotionally distressing working environment. There were multiple occasions where I was treated unfairly, insulted, and humiliated in front of colleagues. One of the major concerns involved work accounts that were allocated to me to arrange and manage. When incentives were paid out from the work I had completed, Tebogo would allegedly demand a portion of the incentive money from me or expect me to buy her personal items such as clothes and handbags. This made me feel pressured, uncomfortable, and exploited. In addition, there were incidents where inappropriate and offensive language was used toward staff members, including being called insulting names. On one occasion, after being insulted, I attempted to raise the issue and asked who I could report the matter to. I was laughed at and told words to the effect that “you want to report me to me,” and that management would always support her decisions. This made me feel powerless and afraid to speak up. The emotional impact of the treatment I experienced became severe over time. The working environment caused me significant stress and anxiety to the point where I had to seek medical assistance and take antidepressant medication. What hurt me most was an incident where I informed Tebogo that I was not feeling mentally and emotionally well in confidence as my manager. Instead of handling the matter professionally and privately, she shared my personal situation with Lerato, who then publicly mocked and made fun of my condition in front of other agents. I found this humiliating, deeply hurtful, and highly unprofessional. I believe that every employee deserves to work in an environment that is respectful, professional, and free from bullying, ************, and humiliation. I am therefore requesting that this matter be taken seriously and investigated appropriately. Thank you for taking the time to read my complaint. After seeing a review about Hahn I thought I should lay my grievance under tebogos leadership.2023 I had a family issue in regards to my son not doing well at school ,I personally asked her to give a good word to our boss Graham to work from home due to I had unforseen circumstances in regards to my son who was not living with me at the time cause I was told by my son's teacher that in order for my son to recover I must take him and monitor him.and because I traveled approximately 2 hours to work and I leave very early in the morning so being at home was the only resolution I had in regards to keeping track on my son's academics.tebogo came back and said no Graham refused me that privilege and now I had to choose between saving my job or saving my son's future and obviously I chose my son's future,which till this day I'm proud I took that decision.prior to that I was assigned to a department of water and sanitation book which I worked my soul out and collected almost a million alone. And yes the was good incentive I had scored but the thing is now I was serving my notice due to the predicament I had mentioned.so my last day at work was on the 29 September 2023.come November I asked her about my incentive she said noooo you won't get it due to the reason that I have left.woooh I went bananas my question why cause I did serve My notice why is it a problem. When it comes to receiving what I worked had for ,,,,then I decided to escalate it with Graham and during our conversation I could tell this person literally didn't know that I have left due to a situation I had. Then I kept on calling up until Graham paid my incentive which I recently found out that the was actually an incentive of an air fryer that was supposedly to be mine but it was given to someone who got it based on my hard work. I am writing this with a heavy heart because this woman she literally placed me on an unemployment Era for approximately 2 years ,which If the same problem was to happen to her biological sister, she cudve went an extra mile for and she was the only one who was given a special treatment. IL make a typical example her sisters boyfriend passed away .she was on family responsibility leave for 2 weeks, if I'm not mistaken tebogo literally arranged ptps using her credentials,so that her sister gets incentive which she did.i so hope Hahn collections does something with that woman cause she is unhuman.she thinks Hahn collections it's her company and she doesn't even follow the labour's law regulations. I hope management will look into her way of doing things

Many employees are subjected to ongoing abuse and unprofessional behaviour. Tebogo frequently insults agents, makes comments about how poor they are, and tells staff that she is the one who pays them. She has even disclosed employees’ salaries in front of others, which is a clear violation of privacy and basic workplace ethics. There is a strong culture of ************. Employees are constantly threatened with losing their jobs, and it is widely believed that if Tebogo sees you as a “competitor,” she will make sure you leave the company. This has resulted in a very high staff turnover, with many people resigning specifically because of her behaviour. There are also serious concerns about favouritism and unfair treatment. Tebogo promoted her sister, Lerato, and advanced Lerato’s daughter, Kgopolang, from an agent role into an admin position. Kgopolang is excused from normal duties because she is a student, while other employees are not given the same consideration. Accounts are allegedly reassigned to Lerato to help her meet targets and qualify for incentives. Leave policies are also app**** unfairly. While most employees must strictly follow the rules, Lerato and Kgopolang are reportedly allowed to take leave even when they do not have available leave days. Even more concerning are allegations that Tebogo pressures employees to buy her clothes, gifts, or food in exchange for job security. She reportedly tells staff that “this is my company” and that no one can challenge her authority. There is also evidence that she has planned to have certain employees dismissed. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable in any professional environment. Hahn Collection’s reputation is being damaged because of this leadership. Many employees stay only because they have no other options, not because the workplace is fair or supportive. This review is a call for accountability. I have been receiving daily calls and SMS messages demanding payment for a loan that I have no knowledge of. I have explicitly requested that my contact details be removed from your system and that I no longer be contacted. Despite this, your agent refused to comply and stated that the calls would continue until payment is made. Today, I received a call from an agent identifying herself as Makgasela Matseetji, who refused to provide her full details and terminated the call while I was attempting to obtain further information. This conduct is unacceptable and constitutes harassment. I hereby demand that: - My contact details be removed from your database immediately. - All communication with me cease with immediate effect unless proper verification of the alleged debt is provided in writing. Should I receive any further calls or messages from Hahn Collections, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter by filing formal complaints with the Council for Debt Collectors and the Credit Ombud.
