I bought hush puppies shoes on the 30th of November 2020 they were on sale. I wore them for lesss than15 minutes on the 23rd of December 2020. The sole of the shoe cracked and chipped off. On the 30th of November I returned the shoe without a receipt but I had a laybye receipt for the same day. They refused to return it. After digging the bin I eventually found it. They agreed it was a factory fault but they sent me home & sent to await a SMS. SMS came through with a credit note. Mind you I travel 33km single trip to the shop, was told I will not get refund because of return policy. The floor supervisor was rude, the customer service appalling, I told them it was never my intention to return the shoe. I was embarrassed because the shoe was purchased for a particular function and for it the crack on my arrival was just not acceptable.
To date they refusing to refund me and they forcing me to take something else. Firstly I bought 4 shoes on the day. Two cash and two on laybye. I don't want more shoes. I wont need the shoe the function has long passed and it did not serve its purpose.
I find it absolutely absurd for a company as big and as old to have such horrible customer service
