Contact avenues like e-Mail are blatantly ignored. Telephone number give a long signal. GEPF website offers no recourse for complaints or compliments. Self-service email is also a joke - also blatantly ignored.

i am hear to express my concern on the waiting period of the claim that i sent in on the 7 Jan 2026 then were then told the turn around time would be 60 days. i then did a follow up in march i was told that the account was with the ***** department but when i ask why is the claim with ***** is their any documents they would like to be resent they told me that i should wait. In May i went again, i was told that it is still with *****. when i request the tracking documentation i then discovered that the claim was sent on the 15 January and the claim have been with the ***** department since 27 January. Their is no communication in between they called once they did not get hold of me they mentioned they will call the following day they never did the incompetence from their staff when asking question on the head office in cape town they tell you i can wait up to 2year when i ask why nothing the explaining was not clear and they told they have 2 agents working for the inter ***** department. They told me the claim is way too old however i was not aware in regards with claim now am not sure if that saying means am not applicable to get my benefits.

I claimed my 2 pot on 2nd March and they are giving different excuses. They are quering my banking account whereas I received salary on same account. I've sent emails, letters called in vain. Worse they refuse to cancel my claim

Inconsistent stories. I have been waiting for my resignation payout and they said their turnaround time in 60 days. Every time I make an enquiry they always tell me different and inconsistent reports.

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my unpaid claim with GEPF. Details: Claim Reference: 3721203722 Pension Number: 99303500 Date Submitted: 5 March 2026 It is now 19 May 2026, which is well past the 60-day turnaround period GEPF commits to for processing claims. Despite submitting the claim on 5 March, I have not received payment or any update on the status. I have sent multiple follow-up emails since the 60 days lapsed, but I have not received a single response. The lack of communication and the extended delay is causing significant financial stress and frustration. I request that you: 1. Urgently investigate the status of claim 3721203722. 2. Provide a written explanation for the delay. 3. Confirm the date by which payment will be made. If I do not receive a response within 7 days, I will escalate this matter to the Pension Funds Adjudicator and the relevant oversight bodies. Please treat this as urgent. You can contact me via this email for any further information required.
