I contacted the service provider to come and fix a problem with my fridge. The following day, it transpired that the fridge now had two other issues which it did not have before the technician supposedly fixed the fridge. I contacted the technician to come and repair his mistakes. He didn’t pitch up at the arranged time (or at all for that matter) despite being contacted numerous times. Now I also can’t seem to get ahold of anyone when calling the number on their website either.

Amazed they are in buisness. Totally unreliable, full of promises but never show up to confirmed appointments. Having wasted a week of my time I wish them the end result they deserve. CASE BOOK STUDY OF HOW NOT TO RUN A BUSINESS

This is a scam business. They come promising to fix your fridge, offering guarantee, but they only regas it - so it appears to work when they leave but they do not address the real problem if there is a leak or some other component in the fridge that is really causing the problem. When it stops working again before the guarantee runs out they refuse to come fix it again under the guarantee. They also send invoice with fake address and details by whatsapp, and the account number is also of a third party. It is a fraudulent invoice - look at all the spelling errors. If you have also been scammed by these people, please report this to Cape Town police station, case CAS138/01/2021 to help the detective with the case.

Your team came to fix my dishwasher. Before they started I requested a report of the fault with the dishwasher which they did not give me and it is needed for the insurance. Now the man that answers the phone on 071 997 4659 said I must pay R450 for the report. I find this to be very excessive. Also the sensor was not replaced as it says on the invoice.

DO NOT TRUST. They "found" some other problem with my fridge and tried to charge me R3000 (the cost of a new fridge!) when all it needed was a new door deal. The workers also came into my home and spoke a language to each other that I could not understand whilst I was watching what they were doing - extremely poor taste for an in-home service provider. They were taking parts of the fridge apart and telling me about other "problems" that the fridge has and saying that this would be creating frost in the fridge. The fridge was never giving this problem to begin with!

DO NOT TRUST. They "found" some other problem with my fridge and tried to charge me R3000 (the cost of a new fridge!) when all it needed was a new door deal. The workers also came into my home and spoke a language to each other that I could not understand whilst I was watching what they were doing - extremely poor taste for an in-home service provider. They were taking parts of the fridge apart and telling me about other "problems" that the fridge has and saying that this would be creating frost in the fridge. The fridge was never giving this problem to begin with!

I would like to warn other potential customers to be careful when making use of the services of Fridge Repairs Cape Town. I logged a call for them to be at my premises at 09:00 to repair my fridge. The date and time was confirmed by means of whatsapp by someone from the company. I had to message several times to ask them where they are as no one informed me that they are running late. At +- 09:35 someone replied saying they will be there before 10:00. Not a good first impression. Patrick arrived just after 10:00. After the fridge were repaired I received an invoice with none of my particulars on the invoice. The invoice was made out to someone else with their address and details and after inquiring about it from them to send me an invoice with my correct details on there as well as proof of my 8 month guarantee which I was promised by Patrick that was on site to do the repairs, I am still waiting for my guarantee although I already paid for the service. I called the company to ask them for proof of my guarantee and to date have not received anything despite several follow-ups from my side. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Contacted Fridge Repairs Cape Town via their website on Friday 6 Dec. On Sat 7 Dec received an email response from Douglas Shiriyapenga that he received my query and was able to assist. I arranged that he come out on Mon 7 Dec. The appointment was for 12h30, at 12h30 someone contacted me to say their current job was running late they would be there before 14h00, 14h00 came and still no one, then got a call from someone else saying they were on their way but would take an hour to get to me, eventually at 15h30 two guys arrived to look at my fridge. It all looked very legit with the gas cannister to re-gas the fridge and a tool box in hand. I was told my freezer needed to be defrosted as that was a cause of the problems, I find that hard to believe as the freezer was not the problem, the fridge was. They proceeded to "re-gas" the fridge, but I doubt any gas went in at all. They said to give it an hour and the coils will warm up and the fridge will cool down. They were paid and left at 16h30. At 18h00 we had load shedding, when the power came back on I waited for the fridge to start cooling but nothing ever happened, unfortunately we had more load shedding the following morning and again when the power was restored the fridge was not cooling down and coils were not warm to the touch. I couldn't even hear gas circulating anymore. I contacted Douglas via mail to ask him to send his technician back but have been flat ignored, I have tried getting hold of the technician and am also being flat ignored. They have my money and that is all that counts.

Do not under any circumstances use this company. They are scam artists of the highest order. They do not reply to any calls or messages after the job. Paperwork is non existent Service is extremely poor If there was a minus rating I would give it. Their number is 0875510817.
