Good morning I bought my property in 2019 and last year I learned that I owe City of Ekurhuleni R60.000.I went to Boksburg municipality to enquire about this amount I owe,I was told since 2019 I moved in my property at Windmill Park they were charging me less hence this amount. There is a term that they use indenginous meaning i was categorized as a pensioner .I was given a form to sign to accept the debt of which I did.The arrangement amount is R1602 monthly plus what I normally pay on municipality around R800,so my problem now is that monthly i get a statement that says I must pay R6000.

DANGEROUS Lives wires exposed by the Municipality.

Good morning all, we are expecting multiple power outages in Elsburg road Germiston, and it takes the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality 6 to 15 days, restore the power. Are community (11 houses) that is always affected every month it is now to much And something has to done, we cannot keep loosing hour frozen food and house hold electricals, no hot water to bath or shower, We cannot charge cell phones or laptops and someone that is working from home is now losing money. We as a community cannot take this any more. And I have videos and pictures on the unprofessional workmanship and dangerous exposed live wires covered in water due to the rain. That causeing more burned wires again comming out of the ground that is dangerous for anybody walking by. There are many children playing around the house that the wires are live.

EMM GERMISTON lack of service delivery

Germiston specifically NO service delivery Electrical outage since 01 February 2026 We as Wadeville Industry keep hearing who's at fault and who are accountable but we as a whole don't care about the politics and coalitions, all we ask is for BASIC SERVICES to be restored to ALL companies so they can keep providing and motors due to incorrect wiring. Somewhere someone has to care what is happening in Wadeville industrial. We as a country are lamenting the lack of employment of our youth. Surely the GERMISTON Ekurhuleni staff have children and want them to be gainfully employed. They can hold themselves responsible for lack service delivery which in turn cause short time - retrenchments and lack of employment for our youth.

Incompetence stuff

Our household has been without electricity for 9 days, while surrounding houses have power. I have logged the fault with the Ekurhuleni call centre multiple times and now have three reference numbers. Every follow-up results in either being told a technician is on the way or that the case has been closed without the issue being resolved. I also attempted to get help via Twitter/X, with no response. On Friday, I physically went to the Benoni offices (7th floor), where my details were taken and I was promised assistance, but no technician has attended to date. We pay our rates and services every month, yet we are being denied a basic service. I would like to know how long residents are expected to wait for a single-house power failure to be resolved. So annoying that we have to suffer like this while their homes have power without issues. This matter requires urgent escalation. City of Ekurhuleni.

No water AGAIN in GERMISTON

no water tankers have been enough (sad) we wait patiently NO WATER for the community at all at our homes in our tapes, at Windsor pump system (for days) I feel nausea and not feeling well from this filth and been unhygienic and no answers (stop blaming the community) To no water been available ???? Where is proper reports proper reports on signatures for the upkeep of living rights been unhygienic with NO water. we are never having a restful break, now it's going to work and then having to stand for water 😪😭😫 People are not even been paid and it's money extra for what we can't as families have at our homes, because of NO water No answers 😭😭😭😭 all we told on WhatsApp that's there has been no change to the level on the resoviours as not knowing why the ward councillor were at the resoviours and told us this that we will have no water in our tapes, why ?????? The weekend is near how pathetic then it's no technicians are available even though they bled the resovior yesterday, what the next excuse, school children dealing with toilets how pathetic and having no drinking water in the heat of this weather. Please help this morning s a huge problem as people will get ill and toilets getting blocked and having no answers just all that we are told is get water from tankers, pathetic, we as a community already beginning of 3026 is an absolute disgrace, disaster at all measures 😫😫😫😭😭😭 us as a community has rights and we do not deserve this at any measures and tell us if we are wrong but yet we are pushed and not heard if we do not pay for the costs of water and electricity WHERE is the service and health issues in this matter, just dumped and not sorted, this is a HUGE DISGRACE at the start of 2026

electricity service for tenant denied cause the property owner is in areas. for 18 month i live in a place in edenvale and had every month disconnection notice . now the council took the whole circut breaker out and i have no power thou i pay my consumption. the council is not prepared to get in contact with ower and me as tenant cant get hold of owner either non responsive. what can i do?

Bad service

Half of the Mabotja street Kwathema houses had no electricity and we reported it since yesterday at 11:00am and now its 12:30 on the 17/06/2026 , they came and check and identify the issue but they are not yet arrived and we are waiting for them incase they want someone to dig. We are willing to do it for free as long we get the power back.
