I am extremely frustrated with the handling of my SRD grant appeals and the complete lack of communication from the relevant offices. My SRD application has repeatedly been declined under “means_income_source_identified,” despite the fact that I am unemployed and have no regular income. The only transaction that may have triggered the system was once-off family food assistance received months ago. I immediately lodged appeals for every affected month through the official DSD tribunal portal. My appeal outcomes are still pending, yet there is no meaningful feedback or assistance available. I have attempted to contact the offices telephonically numerous times, including repeatedly today, but it is nearly impossible to get through to anyone for assistance. Emails also go unanswered. To make matters more confusing, the appeal portal only provided a single dropdown option (“identity_verification_fixed”) which did not even relate to my actual dispute regarding income assessment. At this stage, it feels like automated system flags are being repeatedly carried over without proper manual review, while applicants are left without communication or support. I have now escalated the matter further because ordinary support channels are not functioning effectively. I sincerely hope this matter can finally receive proper human review and resolution.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the conduct of the social worker involved in my case, as well as the decision to remove my daughter from my care without my consent. I am deeply concerned about the manner in which this situation has been handled. My daughter has been taken away for a period of up to three months, despite the fact that no one in my family has been found guilty of any wrongdoing. This has caused significant emotional distress not only to me as a mother, but also to my daughter, my siblings, and my father. Furthermore, I experienced what I believe to be harassment and unfair treatment throughout this process. At no point were my rights clearly explained to me, nor was I given a fair opportunity to respond before such a serious decision was made. According to the medical report, the doctor confirmed that the injury sustained by my daughter was minor and allegedly caused by her teacher. This raises serious concerns as to why my family is being treated as if we are responsible, while the matter is still under investigation. I would like to understand: On what legal basis my child was removed without my consent Whether due process was followed in accordance with child protection laws Why my family is being subjected to treatment that feels like harassment despite no proven guilt What steps are being taken to ensure my daughter’s safety and emotional wellbeing during this time I respectfully request an urgent review of this matter and a clear explanation of my rights as a parent. I also request that this complaint be escalated to a senior official for further investigation. This situation has caused immense emotional pain, and I seek fairness, transparency, and justice for myself and my family.

CMR Wierdapark were approached to assist a mother trying to get contact to her child and she was told that they could not assist as there was no court order. The mother has being trying to get a court date but has been told she could not be assisted due to a backlog. She completed all the forms she needed to, but could not get a date. All while an unstable father (proof provided of his mental illness) was keeping her child from her. What is our government doing about it? The child is in danger and the father is mentally unstable (with proof), yet they are allowing this poor 7 year old to stay in his care and ignoring the mother. Reference 6919109 Dinah

PATHETIC SERVICE!!!!! You can never get hold of them, they don't respond to emails or anything for that matter. They are the government institutions to look out of our children's well being and so on, but how can they do that if they can't even answer a phone or an email. People are waiting for final adoption orders and to get their new birth certificates as the original one gets handed in to DSD, but they have their own time and don't care about anything. It is so sad to what our country has come to that not even a simple admin instruction can get so complicated to complete. It is much better to earn the salaries, but having to do nothing!!!! It is a very frustrating situation for people as important documents gets handed in, and they are in no hurry to finalze the new important documents.
