I’m really disappointed with the delivery experience I had with my couch from Coricraft today. The delivery team arrived, but the driver immediately decided, just by looking, that the couch would not fit through the stairs or into my apartment. He did not properly attempt the delivery before making that conclusion.
What frustrated me most was that I had to repeatedly ask him to at least try. Instead of attempting different methods or listening to suggestions, he kept finding reasons why it wouldn’t work. He even suggested that I buy a smaller couch, which was unfair considering I followed all the required measurements before purchasing. I have also successfully moved larger furniture into my apartment before, including my bed, because previous delivery teams actually made an effort to get the items inside.
A delivery service should at least make a genuine attempt before deciding something cannot be done. In this case, it felt like the decision had already been made before trying, and that left me feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. What makes this worse is that if another delivery attempt is needed, I may have to pay another delivery fee even though the first team never properly tried to complete the job.
Overall, this felt like a very unfair and poor delivery experience.
