This company CARJET must be banned from the rental Car hiring platforms. I booked a rental car through them, Citroen C3. I paid for the full insurance more than R3100. That includes that more than one person can drive the car. And you only pay the access money if the car is really damaged. After I paid on their website the full amount I received after a few hours a voucher plus confirmation of payment. It showed that I only paid R1957.77 and I need to pay access of R9000.00. I planned to sort this out when we land at the airport. I really thought they had a office like all the other rental companies. But No. Instead Green Motion rocks up with another vehicle. Not even the one I paid for and they said I need to pay first the R9000.00 and ONLY I can drive the car. Totally opposite what I paid for. I felt that I was bull**** by the company CARJET. I left the car and we rather ubber to the place where we wanted to go. I came back from holiday and wanted to reverse my payment. They refused I noticed at other reviewers that they did not even get their deposits back that arranged from R9000 to R30 000. Might be even more. Noway this company CARJET just want to ****** you of your money. Do NOT use it trust them. They are a BAD company.

When I review with a 1, I actually mean minutes the coldest day in the Antarctic because everything is below standard except the false promise. I'm quite sad and provided all my requirements and extra to prove that I've been driving for over 20 years yet I was still denied the car and my deposit after being told I'd be automatically refunded after 7-15 days if I just left. I didn't just leave I called and I was told Nope first then I called again. Doesn't help that it's not local hahaha it's been a few days now since they took my money just for the sake of it.

Booked a 4x4 vehicle. Confirmed receiving a 4x2 vehicle. Only way to contact the company is phoning an international number, or online-submission. Online submissions are "answered" with automated messages, In my case I'm told my booking type can not be amended. Wrong vehicle. No option of addressing the problem. Stay away from these people. I've read the other reviews. Should have listened to them.

Booked a 4x4 vehicle. Confirmed receiving a 4x2 vehicle. Only way to contact the company is phoning an international number, or online-submission. This company is very bad FOR SOUTH AFRICAN BUSINESSES IN CAR HIRING SPACE and im owed R10,000.00 by Car Jet. They were using Europa cars for giving me a car as they are based internationally not in south Africa , i came to collect a car at Europa OR Tambo and there i payed full car value and but to my suprise i still had to pay money similar to the booking , Europa canceled the very expensive deal of Carjet posing as cheap and i had to re book at Europa, as they assisted me very well as i had to pay new fees altogether with my credit card all in all that day i had to spend R30 000.00 for hiring a car because of Car jet bad service and when i phone them they take me from pillar to post and a Nigerian man with authority tells me they wont refund a cancelled deal where companies usually takes a certain fee around 2% for cancelations but Carjet they take it all im taking them to ombudsman of hiring industry to report them

****mers This Company and its associates i South Africa, GREEN MOTION RENT A CAR, are ****mers. They are not transparent about their conditions , which they only publish after you have paid. e.g. they do not let you know you will not get the car without a credit card and that there are no refunds. This after they company came under the search for rental cars that do not require credit cards, the condition only pops up after you pay. The two companies Must be barred for operating in South Africa.

Bad service ever—I made online payment of R5650.91 to rent a car, I was told to collect the car at Hertz Johannesburg Airport- upon collection I was told it can never be given to me due to my low credit score-I then requested a refund, it’s weeks later of no payment received.

I feel compelled to share my recent terrible experience with CarJet and Hertz, in the hope of saving others from the same nightmare. For a 6-day rental in France, I paid €429.67 through CarJet. This package included Platinum Excess Insurance. My booking stated I would collect the vehicle from Hertz at Charles de Gaulle Airport. When I arrived, Hertz couldn’t find my booking at first. After some time, they did locate it, but then charged me an additional €550 holding deposit. When I returned the Renault Clio (in perfect condition) a week later, Hertz issued an invoice for €374.46, which they deducted from my deposit — despite the fact that I already paid CarJet upfront! So, I essentially paid twice for the same rental. My total cost? €803.13 (nearly R19,000!) — for a standard 6-day car rental. I reached out to both companies. CarJet has been completely unresponsive. Hertz sent me a vague response with a reference number and a promise to investigate — but two weeks later, I’ve heard nothing. These companies have shown zero accountability, shocking customer service, and blatant disregard for fair business practices. ⚠️ BE WARNED: If you’re thinking of using CarJet or Hertz — DON’T. They’ve proven to be unreliable, unresponsive, and *********. I will never use them again. Absolute ******.
