My dogter is 14
My dogter is 14. Sy't twee jaar gelede opgehou luister. Het opgehou kerk toe gaan, opgehou bid, opgehou met enigiets geestelik. Ek het oral gelees dat 75% van Christen-tieners die kerk los teen 25 — ek het geweet ek's besig om my eie statistiek te word. Ek het hierdie gekoop met geen verwagting nie, net hoop. Drie maande later het sy uit haar eie deur gekom en gevra of sy saam met my Bybel kan doen voor slaaptyd. Ek het in die badkamer gaan huil sodat sy nie sien nie. Ek weet nie waarheen dit gaan nie. Maar ons praat weer, en sy vra weer. Ek sou dit vir tien keer die prys gekoop het.

Be very careful
Be very careful with this website (bybelsentrum.org/index.html). Study the single-page website and notice the anomalies. There is no contact information and no physical address. The buyer cannot sample the offering - the content is only described quite vaguely by the seller in Afrikaans Nowhere is it stated that this is a weekly subscription! The buyer unknowingly commits to paying R240-00 per week. My credit card provider was adamant that I signed for a subscription! I had to cancel my credit card. Also note that this an international transaction. The money goes overseas. The five-star reviews are all in good Afrikaans by people with English names. There is even a review by a dad named Janice! The sad part is that Scripture, viewed as sacred by billions, is used as lure.

******* - misleading advertising
Their advertising is misleading. They say its R240.00 and then you can download the content. No where it states its a subscription and when you buy it also doeS not say anything. I picked it up when I found weekly charges (including international fees) on my card. I am reporting them to my bank as ***** and will comment in future on any of their adverti*****t. What a shame that someone selling Christian content can be *******

Bybel Sentrum *****ulent deductions every week
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding unauthorized recurring deductions from my account after purchasing the children’s Bible study material from Bybelsentrum. At no point during the purchase process was I clearly informed that this purchase would become a subscription with recurring weekly charges. I only intended to make a once-off purchase for the children’s Bible study material. I have now discovered that an amount of R480 is being deducted from my account every week without my informed consent. This is unacceptable and appears to be misleading and potentially ******** under South African consumer protection laws, which require businesses to clearly disclose recurring subscription terms before charging customers. I hereby demand the following: Immediate cancellation of any subscription or recurring billing linked to my account. Immediate cessation of all future deductions. A full explanation of how and when I allegedly agreed to a subscription. A refund of all unauthorized deductions already taken from my account. If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will escalate the complaint to the relevant consumer protection authorities and my bank for investigation and charge disputes. Please treat this matter with urgency and provide written confirmation that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further deductions will occur.

BEWARE: Misleading content and unauthorised charges (Bybelsentrum.org)
I purchased Bible study material from Bybelsentrum.org / BiblicalHub.org / BibleHub.store (please, not to be confused by BibleHub.com), only to find the quality is extremely poor. The illustrations look nothing like the advertised "blueprint" and the text is riddled with AI translation errors, making it unusable. Furthermore, a week after my initial purchase, they deducted a second unauthorized R480 from my credit card without any prior notice of a subscription. They promised a refund but have since deducted more money. I have had to cancel my bank card to stop further theft. Avoid these sites at all costs.
