I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my refund by Voltano Metering. We moved out of the property at the end of March 2026, and the final utility account was fully settled on 13 April 2026. On 16 April 2026, I received written confirmation that my account had been closed and that the refund was sent to Head Office for processing. I was advised to allow 14–21 working days for payment. That timeframe has now passed, and despite numerous follow-ups via both email and telephone, I still have not received my refund. What is most frustrating is that I keep receiving the same response that the matter is “with finance,” with no proper resolution. I was recently told that payment would be released earlier this week, yet there is still no payment reflecting in my bank account. I have remained patient and cooperative throughout this process, but the ongoing delays, lack of accountability, and repeated unfulfilled promises are unacceptable. I am now left with no option but to escalate the matter further (legally) should this not be resolved urgently.

Just received my voltano account and wondering why lately number of billed days is always above month days (i.e. Last month was 35 days and this month it's the same) also daily SMS balance does not correspond with monthly balance very strange

Appalling services delivery from this company, the water charges are insane, the customer service team and billing team is not helpful at all. I stay by myself and always travelling, and I don't pay anything less than R1900 for water it's been 9 months calling them back and forth, till date they have not resolved their billing issue. their western cape staff is rude and unwilling to help

On the 26th May 2025 had debit balance of R112.12 Hence vave paid R700 on 29th May 2025 please note have had debit balance of R587.88 should be in credit. Please provide reconciliation statements as I am receiving text messages which don't reconcile Your account (PEOKR7GTU) is in arrears of R0.86.Please pay into your account to generate more credits.Regards,Voltano

We are subjected to this services provider that only knows how to send high bills but can leave us without electricity for more than 24 hours.. I’ve never hated a service provider the way I hate Voltano

Disgraceful company, they reflect your monthly water consumption as below average (in my case it has been a shocking 0 consumption for the month) then the next month they charge the consumption for both months. But now as it is a higher amount for both months, they can charge the water at a higher rate. Almost R1500 price difference to what it should have been. Oh and don’t try and contact them, you are wasting your time. Neither the accounts@Voltano or the Western Cape accounts mail rhoshe.p@Voltano bothers to respond. I wonder how many people just pay the higher tariff without realising what they are doing.
