Verimark irons are not so hot !
A Verimark Knysna iron packed up during one year guarantee. While they repaired it we bought another identical one as they look good. That then also packed up so we reverted to the repaired one. Which then packed up too. They now want R1000 to fix both irons as they are out of 1 year guarantee period. We objected. We threatened to go public. They don't seem to care.

21 May 2026, 08:16Dear Ian,Thank you for your feedback.We are sorry to hear about the issues experienced with your irons and understand your frustration.After inspection, both units were found to have multiple wear-and-tear-related faults, including a damaged/worn-out power cord that needed replacement for safety use, a burnt soleplate, a burnt anti-drip system, and a loose control knob. Unfortunately, both products are now outside the warranty period, and repairs at this stage are therefore chargeable.A quotation was provided for the necessary parts replacement; however, it was declined.We do understand this is not ideal, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. If you would like to revisit the repair option in the future, our team will be happy to assist.
