I have been receiving repeated unsolicited calls from TS Consumer Insight (021 065 5627), despite clearly requesting that my number be removed from their database.
During a recent call, I asked where my number was obtained from and was told it was “auto-generated through their system,” with no further explanation provided. No lawful basis for processing my personal information was given.
I also requested to speak to a manager or supervisor and was informed that none was available.
The calls have continued despite my objection to direct marketing, which raises concerns regarding compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
I have now escalated the matter to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
I request that TS Consumer Insight:
- Immediately cease all calls - Remove my personal information from their systems - Confirm that my data has been deleted
