The Hyde Hotel and Essential Wellness Spa I am beyond shocked and disappointed in the service or lack of service my sister and I received from The Essential Wellness Spa. I had recently purchased a Voucher for my sister as a birthday gift. The entire treatment someone in the next room was singing loudly and the room just had the two beds. The Luxury Couples Relax Spa Package Includes: Welcome Detox Beverages: Lemon and mint infused water to cleanse and refresh - We were offered two glasses of tap water :) what a joke 2 x Relax Rituals: Soothing Hot Compress Infused with Warm Lavender Oil Gently Placed Across the Décolleté Area and Face - definitely not lavendar oil used (we were only asked if one of us was pregnant. 2 x Body Massages: Swedish or Aromatherapy Back of Body Massage (we were not asked what massage we wanted) 2 x Dead Sea Salt Back Exfoliations with a Nourishing Back Mask 2 x Deep Relaxation Head Massages (2-3 mins only) 2 x Foot Rituals: Relaxing Foot Massage, Revitalising Foot Exfoliation and a Nourishing Foot Mask however when we call to make the reservation, we told the person who makes the bookings is not available and works from home and had to email her. Which we did. She responded to one email and it wasn't the correct response. Eventually after calling the hotel again, they got Shaheeda to call me and get it sorted for Sunday 24 May at 09h00. We arrived on 08h50 and no one from the spa was in yet, according to Desmond (hotel front desk). Phumuzile eventually came to collect us at 09h01 for an appointment which was meant to start at 09h00. The treatment started at 09h12 and the the******s were done by 10h00, so we only go a 48 minute and not 1 hour treatment as per the voucher purchased. Highly disappointed!

I am very disappointed in the service or lack of service I received from The Hyde Hotel and the Essential Wellness Spa. I had recently purchased a Voucher for my wife and I for a couple's massage and 3 course dinner or lunch, however when we call to make reservations, we always told the person who makes the bookings is not available, and they had promised us that as soon as they are available they will contact us but it's been two weeks now and the person is still not available. This is concerning because there is no way possible that these two place only rely on one person to make bookings. The most annoying thing is that the voucher expires in April, and I would have wasted my money and also ruined my wife's birthday thanks to them.

Worst experience. Waited forever to get a table after we had a reservation. Then waited forever to order our drinks. Waited almost an hour just for a glass of water. Then waited 20minutes after the drinks arrived to order the food. Then waited another hour to get our starter, which came to us so cold and unappealing. Then still waited for our second round drinks. And waited another 30minutes foro ur main, only for it not to be what we wanted. We got up and left. The manager took my number but never contacted me. He said we could come on another time, so we callee today only for us to hear that they are fully booked and service would be slow. What a waste. Never book at The Hyde hotel. You'll wait till next year to be served.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service I received at The Hyde Hotel on March 15, 2025, at 14:30. I had made a reservation for seven people using WikiDeals vouchers, which had been confirmed in advance. However, upon arrival, the server informed me that she could not assist with the deals and only accepted two of them. When I questioned this, she responded in a loud and unprofessional manner, making me feel embarrassed in front of other guests. Despite my request to speak with the manager, she claimed to be the supervisor and refused to escalate my concern. Eventually, I had to find the manager myself, who instructed her to assist me. At that point, she falsely stated that I had not informed her about all seven deals, despite having taken the vouchers from me earlier. This entire interaction was not only frustrating but also unacceptable in terms of customer service. Additionally, had I been informed in advance that bookings with multiple vouchers were not allowed, I would have made alternative arrangements. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by your staff. I expect better service from an establishment of your reputation. I would appreciate a response regarding how this issue will be addressed to prevent similar experiences for future guests. Looking forward to your prompt feedback.

We had a splendid time, the place is clean and welcoming, the staff are excellent with their smiles and ready ness to assist. Yhooo the presentation of the food i so enjoyed their chocolate milkshake. I told the we are definitely coming back. I don't have their details as i was not the one who made the booking.
