Ordered and paid for UPS on the 11 October 2024 [Order #52433] (October 11, 2024) and to date, no items received, no response to queries. Their phone number does not work, and they do not respond on the "live chat" or to emails. There is no way to get hold of them at all. It is evident that many people are experiencing the same. Paid for good in October 2024 and did not receive it. Website can't reached and support email not working?

Order number: 65762, made a direct bank transfer, on November 29, 2024. My AC wasn’t delivered and my money was never returned, I have called The Gadget Shop SA no answer, I have emailed them no answer, I have chatted with them online, promises were made, but were never fulfilled. I’m sick and tired of them, all I need it’s my money! So I don’t understand why hellopeter allowed them to remove my review. The Gadget Shop SA, you have my phone number and if you can’t get hold of me, you have my email address and my home address, although I think you’re a ****! I placed an order on The Gadget Shop SA (thegadgetshopsa.co.za) on 6 February and made a payment via EFT, as it was the only option available. After making payment, I received no confirmation and no response to my emails or phone calls. After looking further into this business, I found that many other customers had similar experiences: making payments but never receiving their goods. Do not buy from this company. I purchased a washing machine from them, but there was no delivery, no communication and all of a sudden the website is also unavailable. Do not make the same mistake as all the other people who bought something from them online. No info given by them is the truth.

I needed a new oven and went onto PriceCheck to look for good deals on a Bosch Series 2 oven. The best price I found on PriceCheck was linked to 'The Gadget Shop SA' with a price of R4999.00 and shipping is free. So naturally I went with them, as the company was on PriceCheck which had my trust as I had used this method before. Paid my money on the 3rd of February 2025. Tried to call last week Monday to confirm delivery (5 working days were over), the call didn't connect and the website was suspended. Since then I have come across alot more ****med buyers. First of all - why does PriceCheck, not verify that the 'Prices' they have are for legit businesses - perhaps something that would need to be verified in an API call. And why does ABSA allow payments to be made to a **** account? Why is it, that ******* have more rights than a normal law abiding individual cos if I want my money back, I have to ask their permission (shocking).

On 6 January 2025, I placed an order for a vacuum cleaner on the “The Gadget Shop SA" I paid via EFT The website clearly states that orders in and around Gauteng takes on average 2 to 5 days to be delivered. Delivery is fee of charge and included in the sale. I have had no response from the seller nor am I able to contact them on any of their communication options. All emails sent to both email addresses, have had no reaction, calls are not answered and the web-assistant stopped communication after two automated replies. I reported the matter to The National Consumer Commission and await their feedback. I will report the case to SAPS during this week as well. I believe we have to assist and demand that the website be shut down to avoid other buyers falling victim to their ******* actions.
