I submitted my application for registration on 25 March 2026 and was told that the process would take approximately 21 working days. It is now 19 May 2026 and I have not received a single response regarding my application.
I have sent countless emails and attempted to call multiple times, yet nobody responds to emails or answers the phones. The lack of communication is completely unacceptable, especially for an organisation responsible for supporting educators in South Africa.
To make matters worse, I even travelled to the Centurion office in March seeking assistance, only to be told to leave and apply online instead. Since then, I have been left in the dark with absolutely no feedback or support.
How are educators expected to feel valued and supported when this is the treatment we receive? South Africa is constantly speaking about the need for qualified educators, yet prospective educators are ignored for months when trying to register professionally.
All I am asking for is communication and assistance regarding my application. SACE urgently needs to improve its customer service, response times, and overall professionalism.
