I submitted my application for registration on 25 March 2026 and was told that the process would take approximately 21 working days. It is now 19 May 2026 and I have not received a single response regarding my application. I have sent countless emails and attempted to call multiple times, yet nobody responds to emails or answers the phones. The lack of communication is completely unacceptable, especially for an organisation responsible for supporting educators in South Africa. To make matters worse, I even travelled to the Centurion office in March seeking assistance, only to be told to leave and apply online instead. Since then, I have been left in the dark with absolutely no feedback or support. How are educators expected to feel valued and supported when this is the treatment we receive? South Africa is constantly speaking about the need for qualified educators, yet prospective educators are ignored for months when trying to register professionally. All I am asking for is communication and assistance regarding my application. SACE urgently needs to improve its customer service, response times, and overall professionalism.

I submitted my SACE registration application on 23 March 2026. After waiting several weeks, I was informed on 13 April 2026 that one document required correction. I corrected and reuploaded the document within 48 hours. Since then, my application has remained pending, and the status still reflects “Incomplete” despite the corrected document being submitted. I contacted SACE telephonically to confirm whether the corrected document was acceptable and whether my application was back in the processing queue, but I was advised that no assistance could be provided and that I must simply continue waiting. This registration is required for employment, and the delay is now causing serious difficulty. I am respectfully requesting urgent assistance in reviewing and finalising my application.

I am extremely frustrated with the current situation at the South African Council for Educators (SACE). I have submitted my application and paid the required fee, but the system did not allow me to upload all the necessary documents. Despite this, my application now shows as “under review,” and I have been told the process can take over 30 days. This is completely unacceptable. I am currently unable to apply for teaching positions because I do not have a SACE certificate or any proof that my application is in progress. I urgently need at least a confirmation letter stating that I have app****, but my emails are being ignored, and telephonic support has been unhelpful. This is not just an inconvenience—it is directly affecting my ability to secure employment. I am requesting the following as a matter of urgency: * A formal confirmation that my application has been submitted and is under review * Immediate guidance on how to submit outstanding documents that the system would not accept * Assurance that my application will not be rejected due to system-related upload issues It is unacceptable that applicants are expected to wait over 30 days due to system inefficiencies while being left without any form of support or communication. I expect urgent intervention on this matter.

I am raising concern regarding the lack of response from the South African Council for Educators (SACE) on a formal complaint submitted on 21 January 2026 and followed up on 9 February 2026. The complaint relates to the professional conduct of an educator and raises serious concerns regarding learner wellbeing and adherence to ethical standards. Despite multiple follow-ups, no acknowledgement or status update has been provided to date. It is concerning that a regulatory body responsible for upholding professional standards in education has not responded to a matter of this nature. This raises questions about accountability and the effectiveness of the complaints process. As a parent, I expect that complaints impacting learner welfare and educator conduct are treated with the urgency and seriousness they deserve. The current lack of response is unacceptable.
