As many lonely people, I thought I would try a Senior Dating site and joined Singles 50 because it is South African based. I purchased a month's subscription for R399 at the beginning of December 2025, the 2nd to be exact. Got some contacts but nothing that shook my world. On the 6th December, the day my pension was paid out, a debit was processed for R999 from Singles 50. I went straight to the bank to stop it as it was still pending. The bank however told me I had to register a dispute they could not reverse it. I addressed an email to Singles 50 who rep**** saying that "you agreed to a 1 month subscription at 399 ZAR, with an automatic renewal of 1 month at 999 ZAR." There was no place mentioning an automatic renewal in plain sight. Apparently you have to physically cancel the subscription (the one you never knew you had) by filling in the cancellation link which is "at the bottom of the homepage. (Visible only when logged out). This is absolutely disgusting behaviour from an organization and, in my opinion, a total *******.

Stay away , the profiles listed are not real or true , misrepresented on age size and financial situation etc etc, you stand a better chance on TicToc for free And to try and cancel your free subscription is a ***** , got handed over to a russian Lawyer for one months default and was rushed about €395 to get off their harassment and intimidating SMS 's

Stay away , the profiles listed are not real or true , misrepresented on age size and financial situation etc etc, you stand a better chance on TicToc for free And to try and cancel your free subscription is a ***** , got handed over to a russian Lawyer for one months default and was rushed about €395 to get off their harassment and intimidating SMS 's

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! ABSOLUTE **** DATING SITE!!!
Absolute ****mers - Money Grabbers - AVOID signing up!!! I signed up for one month - which showed as a single payment. Have spent 2 weeks sifting through profiles of people who do not exist. I went on to cancel, followed the route on the website. Kept getting responses that they have not received my cancellation. Asked for profile to be deleted. Told I couldn’t delete had to cancel first! After a week of backwards and forwards, my subscription has been “cancelled” BUT is not cancelled for another month as they didn’t receive my cancellation 7 days before expiry of the one month I signed up for. So a 2nd month’s premium will be removed from my credit card! ABSOLUTE **** dating site! I had been trying to cancel 2 weeks into the one month’s subscription. Don’t go anywhere near this site!!

This is an appalling company. The platform is *******. You will be plagued by numerous emails of suggestions of totally unsuitable partners. It is expensive and, though I thought I was buying a once-off subscription for six months, the hidden terms committed me to renewal, unless I cancelled.
