I am extremely disappointed with our recent experience at San Lameer Restaurant. Our booking was pre-arranged in advance. We arrived at 19:15 and placed our full order (both food and drinks) shortly thereafter. Despite this, it took an entire hour just to receive a can of Coke. Only after that one-hour delay were we informed that multiple items on the menu were unavailable - nearly half the menu. This was not communicated when the order was taken, nor were we informed at the time of our arrival. As a result, our entire table had to re-order, causing further delays. There was little to no proactive communication from staff throughout the evening. At no point were we given the opportunity to make an informed decision about whether to adjust our order earlier or choose another restaurant altogether. In total, the experience took over two hours, largely due to poor communication and service inefficiency. This was highly inconvenient and unacceptable, especially considering the booking was made in advance. This experience did not reflect the standard one would expect. I hope management takes this matter seriously and implements improvements to avoid similar incidents in the future.

The worst experience, most appaulling treatment from the staff. Breakage fees which are exhorbant, takes a full month to be refunded back to you. They hit you with their policies and no human factor at all. Would never recommend this place to anybody. I am still traumatised

We visited San Lameer with our family, including our son who was visiting from overseas. Initially, we booked a 6-sleeper, but due to a booking error, we ended up with a 4-sleeper. We managed to book an additional room, but our experience at the office was disappointing. The staff, particularly one individual who seemed to be the manager, was rude and made us feel unwelcome. Despite paying a significant amount for a 2-bedroom unit for the weekend, the accommodation was not up to par. The units were not well-maintained, smelled stuffy, and had old, dusty furnishings. The pool area was abandoned, and the overall condition of the property was poor. When we were leaving, my brother had trouble with the sliding door, and the key broke in the lock. We reported the issue to reception, but they deducted the full R2000 deposit for the alleged damage. After a lengthy dispute, they refunded R562.50, claiming the key and lock repair cost R1437.50. However, we questioned the legitimacy of the repair invoice provided, as it was an in-house invoice rather than from a professional locksmith. Our experience with San Lameer was marred by poor service, questionable business practices, and a lack of maintenance. We felt disrespected and taken advantage of, and we hope that our feedback can help bring about improvements and return belonged to others and not make money of other hard work! Hi, just wanted to give some feedback to the hotel regarding my stay. Firstly customer service from the employees was really good, the problems I had was the rooms was not up to my expectations even though we had an upgrade.. The light switches in the room is faulty I never slept the entire night because we couldn't figure out how to put the light off that's above the bed.. We did call the reception they came and after several attempts it went off but when we switched to bathroom light on the bed light came on and we couldn't switch it off, that was a big deal breaker because we went to go relax and enjoy our holiday but could not even sleep. Another thing is the desert we ordered at night was gone spoilt we had to exchange it and the food that we ordered at night was flavorless. The heater in room wasn't working. I went with a family of 4 and booked 2 rooms to celebrate someone birthday but it was not what I expected at all. For the price I just expected more but I was very disappointed.

What a seamless and easy check in process. Yolandi was friendly and so helpful, like all the staff at reception. The Villa was perfect, clean comfortable and spacious. The resort/estate is amazing. Neat and well maintained with stunning landscaping and gardens. There is plenty of entertainment and things to do. The beach access is secure and the beach (Marina Beach) is protected for swimmers a well as lifeguards on duty. The hotel and golf club are awesome with meal options to suit any palate. We really loved our stay and considered it good value for money.

My father passed away 2 days before the check-in date and we tried to explain so that we could postpone the date since we understand that there is no refund but they refused. We felt they don't sympathize with their customers but it is only about the money. I wonder if they prioritize the safety of their guests.

Please see below a booking confirmation in which I had selected the incorrect dates. However I did call in on 10/03/2023 to correct this error. I called at 17:21 and was told that there is a problem with the system being slow, I then called at 18:00. I have records of these call logs should you wish to see them. I requested help that the dates be changed to check in on the 18/03/2023 and also asked if I could have the same room. I have forgotten the ladies name that I spoke to as I was under stress with my mum at the hospital. However, even at my departure on the 21/03/2023 the manager Anesha would not tell me who took my call on the 10/03/2023. Whoever the lady was that took my call had told me that my booking would be fine and I would be able to have the same room. I believed her and did not worry about it thereafter. Only to receive a call on the morning of the 18/03/2023 by Busi asking why I did not show up to my booking. I had explained to her that I did call in and gave her the times I called to change the booking as I did make a mistake and the lady that took my call said all would be fine. No one at San larmeer would help me even to honor my booking at a later date. I spoke to the assistant manager Anesha and all she could tell me was that the staff know that they cannot change booking made through Booking.com, however this particular staff member did not tell me that. I have paid R R1707.14 for this booking in celebration of my birthday, Booking.com have paid San larmeer for the booking. All I ask is if you can help with allowing me my 1 night stay at a later date. If not then I believe the female staff member that took my call on the 10/03/2023 between 17:21pm - 18:00pm should be held accountable for not giving out the correct information. San Larmeer was highly recommended and that is why I chose to celebrate my birthday but the reasons below were very disappointing. Please also see the below list of complaints during my stay in Room 402; 1. There was no hot water. I called reception on both days of my stay to inform them of this. 2. The lights in the shower and wash basin area did not work and maintenance did attend to it on the 20/03/23. However on the morning of the 21/03/2023 it did not work. 3. The coffee was not replaced in the room after the room was serviced. 4. At breakfast my husband and I were shocked when the lady at the omelette station had told a gentalman who sounded like he was from Briten that she had given him an omelette already, when he asked what did you put in it she rep**** by say " I won't talk about that now but what do you want", to which the elderly gentlman responded I would like cheese. We have been on many holidays prior to San Larmeer and never have I ever heard staff speak to guests in that manner. 5. At dinner on the 19/03/2023 we were told we cannot order chips as there were no potatoes, no Lemons and my Rock Shandy drink was served to me with what tasted like only a drop of rock Shandy. The waitress took it back to the bar only to find out that there was not enough rock shandy but they just gave it to me anyway. I do hope with the above treatment that I received you would consider honoring my 1 night stay and I hope that it would be better than this past weekend as it was my birthday celebration.

We last went in 2019 and we had a wonderful.l holiday We went there again 27th Dec to 3rd January 2023. Firstly on arrival we had parking iasues. I went to reception then was told to go to security who said they woild sort it out nothing happened then i was told to go back to reception. I eventually sorted the parking out myself after 2 days.We had no water for over 24hrs. Not even a word from the rentals except when i went to reception they said it's the municipality causing the problem. They made no plans to provide any water. We couldn't flush the toliets. Eventually I took an empty 5litre water bottle and used the golf course lake water to flush our toliets. I did notice the main hotel swimming pool toilets had water. The leisure desk also couldn't sort an issue out which took 2days of going up and down.The unit itself was a bit tatty could do with an upgrade and didnt have all the basic kitchen utensils that one should get. The bedroom sliding door didn't close and the outer doors had no key to open them. The one cupboard was locked so there was no space to hang clothing in the 3rd bedroom. Definetly not worth the money i had to spend for 1 week. Seems there's lack of managent or they trying to just rip people off now. Only the views were still enjoyable and the beach. Our cleaner lady was excellent.
