I am absolutely appalled by the service—or lack thereof—from SA Home Loans. We made a clear, formal written arrangement with SAHL that our loan installment would not be debited this month. Despite this written confirmation, they proceeded to deduct the full amount from my Capitec account anyway.
When I called to rectify this, the consultants were completely unhelpful. They acknowledged the arrangement but refused to process an immediate refund, claiming the funds "haven't reflected" on their side yet and that I must wait 3-7 working days once they do.
This is an unauthorised deduction and a blatant breach of our agreement. This "system error" has left our bank account depleted, making it impossible to pay other essential debits due today. I have been told I basically have to "just wait" while my other bills bounce and I incur bank fees.
I demand an immediate manual EFT (Real-Time Clearing) of my funds today. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the National Financial Ombud (NFO) and the National Credit Regulator (NCR) for unfair collection practices and breach of contract.
SA Home Loans, fix your mistake immediately. This is not how you treat loyal clients.
