On 19 April I ordered two items from the RS South Africa website. The site indicated that both items were in stock.
On 20 April I received an e-mail to advise that one item had been dispatched. However, the RS website indicated that it has not been dispatched.
When I called the RS call centre in SA I was informed that both items are on order from overseas. Furthermore, the second item, which contains magnets, is considered dangerous cargo and will be sent by sea freight, taking weeks, if not months.
RS Components are deceiving and misleading clients on purpose to secure sales.
Their service is also pathetic. I was cut off twice while trying to contact them to find out where my order is.
