I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the treatment I received during my visit to your store today. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing and fell below the level of professionalism I would expect from your establishment. While shopping, I was made aware that a cashier named Entle had alerted other staff members to monitor me, which I found both uncomfortable and inappropriate. I then proceeded to the tills, where I was assisted by a cashier named Happiness N. During this interaction, both my colleague and I experienced an unwelcoming attitude. Additionally, the conduct of the female security guard who checked our receipts was equally concerning, as her manner was discourteous and unprofessional. I find this treatment unacceptable, particularly as it was directed toward customers without any justifiable reason. Such behavior reflects poorly on the store and does not align with the standard of customer service one would reasonably expect. I trust that this matter will be addressed promptly and handled with the seriousness it deserves. I would appreciate feedback on the steps that will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Even one look at the meat sold at the branch located at the corner of Witkoppen and Riverbend Road, Bloubosrand, Northriding, Johannesburg, 2162 is enough to see how unacceptable it is. The meat is clearly off and unfit for consumption. I purchased wors, mince and other meat products and every single one of them was of terrible quality. This is beyond disappointing — it’s outright unacceptable. Selling meat in this condition to customers is irresponsible and shows a complete lack of standards. Even the so-called traditional wors is terrible, and calling it ‘nonsense’ would actually be an understatement. The meat is simply *******. If this is the level of quality being sold to the public, then the branch seriously needs to reconsider whether it should even be operating, because no business should be selling meat in such a poor and questionable condition to people. Absolute nonsense I tell you 🚮

I always buy mamas IQF 5kg mixed portion and It’s always big pieces of white meat only no thigh no drumstick or wing just those big white meat it’s even hard to chew sometimes no matter how long you marinade it or boil it, they can do better honestly

Very disappointing that as customers we need to wait outside the shop for 2 hours waiting for the shopers tgo finisxh shoping nad remove the parked trolleys Like they do not have enough parcel, counter space, and the shop is very small that we cannot move around with trolleys inside, we need to park them on the small reserved space hence we need to wait for the customers to finish shopping and come out to take their trolies and we park and enter the shop after one or two hours okf standcing outside, it very disapointing and it noot how theyh can trreat customers in that matter, i think the can do better to cater the customers needs

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Poor Customer Service and Hygiene Standards To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Root’s Butchery at Mabopane Square regarding extremely poor customer service, unhygienic conditions, and unprofessional conduct by staff. Firstly, the overall hygiene in the butchery is unacceptable. The meat on display appeared old and poorly maintained, with clear signs of inadequate pest control. What was most disturbing is that staff were cleaning the glass freezer while meat was still inside, wearing dirty overalls. Sweat and dirt were visibly falling into the meat that was later sold to customers. This is completely unacceptable. We are human beings, not scavengers, and we expect food sold to the public to meet basic health and safety standards. Secondly, the customer service was very poor. The staff do not serve customers according to the order of arrival. While we were patiently waiting in line, a man walked in and was assisted immediately ahead of us. When we raised concern and explained that we were first in line, the lady who assisted us who was not wearing a name tag responded with a bad attitude and gave unnecessary explanations instead of correcting the situation. Her behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful. Even when she eventually assisted us, she did so with clear attitude, throwing the meat on top of the fridge carelessly and rushing to assist the other customer, as if we were not important. This conduct made us feel disrespected and undermined as customers. If discipline, hygiene, and respect for customers are not a priority at this store, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to Consumer Protection Services and relevant health authorities.
