I would like to report the conduct of a person named Peter, who contacted me claiming that my account had been handed over to Prosperious and that I needed to make payment arrangements. I asked him which organisation he was calling from and requested their physical address, as there are many ****s and I prefer to verify information in person. Peter responded rudely, told me that I was wasting his time, and ended the call. Later, he called again and, without even greeting me, immediately threatened that he would garnish my salary from my employer. my ref no. 4443/003164499 I do not believe this is the correct way to treat someone who has an outstanding debt. Prosperious should follow proper collection procedures according to the National Credit Act (NCA). I have not received any proper legal documentation or court order regarding a garnishment, yet I am being threatened. I am now in the process of taking this matter to the National Credit Regulator (NCR) and the Council for Debt Collectors.

This company does not have honesty and the staff is very rude and unprofessional, I've been paying my account for a while now and when I ask for detailed statement they become rude, I don't know what my balance is and I have paid over R15 000 so far

This company is the worst ever. They are like vultures, they harass you with emails and SMS's which you pay for even if you are not even defaulting. And don't even try to resolve this with them because then you just get excuses on excuses. To top it all they want to enforce a debit order on me!!! Please just stop with your harassment!!! Have a look at your review score it tells quite allot about your company!!!! RED FLAGS all the way!!!

I was contacted about 7 years ago, because of school fees that wasn't paid by my ex. Cynthia said that, according to law, I have to pay half of it and they will get my ex to pay her half. Last time I spoke to them Cynthia said that they won't follow up with my ex wife and that I will be paying everything. When asked what changed since the first arrangement, she only said that they won't send a summons to her, but if I stop they will send me one. Why is it that the law, in this case, can be bent to only one side? My ex doesn't have to pay anything and where ever she gave my name, with no knowledge by me, the places only attacks me? We've been divorced for almost 17 years and I always paid my maintenance. Can't prosperitas follow the law, they threatened me with and said both are responsible for it? I can't even stop it, because they keep on changing the naming of the deduction.

My daughter lost her Job and i was asked to pay the school fees - for my grandson. Since the day she was handed to this place, they ass interest on the outstanding balance, and as i look there will still be a balance after I pass away. I guess that is how they make money. If a person is handed over it is for the amount - not interest on interest! I am on Debt review since 2015 and can barely get through my month with my pay. And he was actually not supposed to be handed over as the school misplaced the Subsidy application form which was handed to the finance office.
