Where do i begin. I have been an avid user of Takealot for many years, since Kalahari.com Today was the reaching of my limit. I made an order on the 30th October and was told that the order would be delivered on the 11th November. Fine. On Friday 8 November i received an SMS to say that on Monday the 11th my order would be delivered before 5pm. At 5pm on Friday i log into my account to track my order. The order stated that at 1.30 pm my order was water damaged. I received not one email, SMS or call to notify me of this. I then sent an email to complain about the lack of communication and service that i received. Only then did i receive a flurry of emails - one with a half hearted apology and two more to credit an item which they had no stock of and to reorder my other items to be delivered TEN DAYS later. I then tried to cancel the order completely and that was another disaster. I am DONE with Takealot. Such a shame.
Hi. It's been a week since takealot told me my order should be delivered. One of my items is delaying my order, but there is no time on when that item should be obtained. as of yet, there has been little communication on when the order will be delivered. I have asked for them to split delivery between these items - which they agreed to but it still hasn't been delivered. The agent didn't seem to know when the item would be obtained and didn't seem keen to contact the supplier to enquire the same. The is embarrassing from takealot as it is a company i use often and admire. Unfortunately , this isn't the first time this has happened . Thanks
First, they accept my money for a magazine which they have now discontinued, without telling me that it's discontinued. They kept my money and i waited for my magazine, which is supposed to come every month. 3 months passed without me receiving my magazine, or without response from anyone. Then eventually , i had to call them and find out what happened. Only then do they tell me the magazine is discontinued and they will refund me. I fill in the refund request form on 1 October 2015 and till today have not received any response about what is happening with my payment. Ok. Two people called me and assured me my order would be with me this week. A third just emailed me with a confirmation to delete my account and refund my money. There is no communication whatsoever going on with you guys and i will now have to accept my refund and move on to buy my item from another company as your employee has deleted my account. I wished we could have resolved the matter.<br> <br> I don't think i am left with any other choice. A good company which has now lost my trust.<br>
So this is my last resort. After a week of trying to get help from the staff at Takealot i have grown too frustrated , and have lost my patience. I sent to date 5 emails to try and get some help, only two of them i received a response on saying that my order would be delivered by June 2nd and delayed by 2 days to June 4th. Today is the 8th of June and the website still indicates i will receive my order by the 2nd of June. I also lodged a call on Friday to try to get some answers, the lady said she will contact the supplier but still nothing.<br> <br> I have now decided to deactivate my account and have emailed takealot to tell them to keep my payment as well as the item that i ordered as i do not want to deal with them any further. Surely they can't run a business in this manner.<br> <br> As a loyal Takealot customer, i am appalled by the service i received.
