Global Parts Online/GPO Crew are chancers. I enquired about a side-view mirror for my vehicle. I was given a price upfront, and was then told to pay a 50% deposit, which I duly did, on the promise that they would either find the part within 14 days, or they would give me a refund. They found a part and sent me images. The part looked damaged, so I refused it, and was told they would find a replacement. I was then also told the part was an “original”, but they would not supply it with any kind of warranty. I then rather purchased a brand-new after-market part, with a warranty, from another supplier. Despite numerous communications on email and WhatsApp (I have screenshots), with promises to ‘investigate’ for 5 months, I still have not received my refund. GPO Crew and Global Parts Online are the same people. A Google search found reviews of many other people who have had exactly the same experience, so mine is not an isolated case.

Please feel free to Google 'Reviews on Aramex in South Africa'. You will find that this must be the business with the most bad reviews ever. Read those reviews and you will see exactly how many people have lost both their money and their goods that were entrusted to these people. My wife and I sent a parcel within Durban municipal borders, and with a wave of the Aramex wand, it simply disappeared. They allege that they have delivered the parcel (to the wrong person), and when you ask for proof of delivery, they simply ignore you. It seems we are not the only ones to whom this happened. In fact, the sheer number of similar complaints points to nothing more than a scam. If I was a detective investigating these guys, I would suspect them of criminal conduct. It's a pity our own SAPS is such a lame duck, as these guys deserve to be investigated.
I can honestly say that the guys surprised the hell out of me. I sent a request for a quotation with images and measurements for my double size garage door to a total of 9 companies in Durban. Only four responded (I guess the others are making too much money, and do not need the work). Master Gates sent me an indicative quote within a couple of hours, and Justin (owner) personally called me the same afternoon. I took some time to get back to him, to give the other guys a fair opportunity to come up with either a better price, or perhaps better service. I should not even have bothered. Master Gates not only gave me the best price, but completely surprised me with the excellent level of service – probably the best I have received from any contractor ever in Durban. I accepted the quote on Wednesday. They sent me final details on Thursday, and I paid the deposit on the same day. They promised to be at my house on Monday at 9:00am, and arrived exactly at that time. Welcome and his colleague were well spoken, very polite, worked well, and even spent 2 additional hours working overtime to get the job done. I am a meticulous person, and not always the easiest to please, but they exceeded any and all expectations. Do not even waste your time going somewhere else.
