I used Zety to update my CV and was charged approximately R40, which I understood to be a once-off payment. To my surprise, I later noticed an additional debit of R385 from my account without any clear warning or authorization for a recurring subscription. At no point did I intentionally sign up for a monthly subscription, and the billing process was not transparent enough regarding future charges. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I have now requested a refund and cancellation of any active subscription linked to my account. Customers should be clearly informed when they are signing up for recurring payments instead of discovering unexpected debits afterward.
