Franscois Swanepoel is an absolute professional!

I walked into Tafelberg Furnishers around 13:00 in an absolute panic. I had just been ****med by a completely separate business for 3 weeks and was left without a bed, creating a genuine emergency where I desperately needed one delivered that exact same day. Franscois Swanepoel helped me through the entire process from start to finish. He found me a fantastic bed in my price range on sale. Understanding the crisis I was in, he made a special call and miraculously arranged for an emergency afternoon delivery. I want to make it very clear that I don't know if same-day delivery is their standard policy, but Franscois went completely out of his way to help me out of a terrible spot. WARNING: Took my money, no bed, and left me sleeping on the floor!

I highly recommend avoiding Bed Experts Factory Direct in Somerset West if you want your furniture delivered on time and your consumer rights respected. I purchased a bed on the 19th of March and was explicitly guaranteed a 7-day delivery. Over three weeks later, I still did not have the bed I paid for. The communication was absolutely terrible. I had to call every single week and was repeatedly given empty promises that it would arrive on a 'Wednesday' or 'Friday'. Those days came and went with no delivery and no phone call to explain why. When I finally had enough and called again, they admitted the bed was actually just sitting in their shop. Unbelievably, the guy on the phone refused to take any accountability. Instead of apologizing, he actually argued with me, saying, 'Ja but sir I was right, the bed arrived in the store'—as if I paid for a bed to sit in his showroom! I officially cancelled the order under the Consumer Protection Act and demanded my money back. They had given me a temporary loan bed, which they quickly sent a driver to collect. However, they completely ignored the strict deadline to process my refund. Because they took the loan bed back but are ********ly withholding my money, they have left me to sleep on the floor for two nights in a row. I cannot even go to another store to buy a new bed because they are holding my funds hostage. I am now forced to initiate a bank chargeback for goods not received and escalate a formal complaint to the Consumer Ombud (CGSO). Save yourself the massive stress, terrible service, and sleepless nights. Go to a more reliable business.
