Was directed (only one option) from Durban to Cathkin Park via a road from N3 exit 179 which was closed in 20Km with no proper detour available! Should have been directed via Winterton.
Had a shocking experience in our ride with Philani from the Durban airport back home on a busy Sat night. After many minutes of trying to communicate with the driver via text and voice and walking all around the arrivals area with a trolley full of luggage, quite a challenge for 2 elderly people, we could not find him. He says he was at the meeting point. What meeting point? My reservation did not mention any meeting point, just the general arrivals area where hundreds of other people meet their rides! The driver never made contact from his side, never bother to look for us and then decided to leave as he had no cash left. Fortunately, a manager and other assistants from ACSA and/or the parking people saw our predicament, took my phone, located the driver and stopped him just as he was getting away. On the ride home I noticed that the driver did not appear to have any GPS directional tools to take him to our destination so I had to do all the directing, there was no aircon on a very hot evening and the vehicle engine had the faulty light on. A total nightmare. Regarding the so call “meeting location” I also recall that on our trip of Dec 22 from home to the airport it was shown that the driver would come to a (unknown to me) meeting area about 1min walking distance from my home address. What? If I book an Uber I want the taxi to come to my place, not me to walk with all my luggage to some meeting place. What on earth is that!! In this case I managed to text the driver to come to my address.
Very poor boarding service on an already 2 hours late flight Durban to CT FA 189 on Dec 22. It took 20 minutes for non priority passengers to start boarding with no explanation available. Unacceptable
DSTV streaming help useless
Having been incorrectly rejected (subject for another story) one medication after surgery, which I had to pay to the hospital pharmacy in full, I eventually managed (long effort ...) to get such rejection reversed. But to my astonishment, I found that the refund went to the pharmacy and not to me. Now I have to spend more time, driving around and agro to get that hopefully paid over. What kind of customer service is that!!
Despite various complaints and communications about Live TV streaming a browser web link no longer working for about one week, I am still receiving ignoring, dismissing and unhelpful answers about this matter—shocking service.
When trying to check in online on our (wife and I) trip from Durban to Istanbul, I found that they had booked us (both under the same reservation number VEM7LQ) in separated seats. When trying to amend this we were asked to pay R730, which is not a trivial amount. This is very poor customer service and obviously a money-making scheme, which should be condemned! A very sour note to our first visit to Turkey which we were looking forward to …
I heard today that Multichoice plans to close the Wild Earth channel (together with other very good ones already closing down). Well, when this happens I will cancel my premium subscription!
I would like to report a bad experience with the DSTV's much advertised rewards programme. On 29 Feb, I claimed a Box Office free movie spin reward. However, when trying to choose a movie I was still being asked to pay rent. I reported this via the online chat, and I was then told that the matter would be escalated. However, I have not heard anything further.
Shocking service from Truworths HO. It took five emails to find out why we (wife and I) could not open their account statements sent via email with the required password. This was because they still had my wife’s (account under her name) old ID number which was changed in 2009 and which we had then requested to change at one of the stores, which was obviously not done. The statement also indicated that one could use the account holders birth date or account number as passwords, none of which worked. Anyway, we then asked for instructions on how to close the account and was asked for my wife to call in or for me to obtain a power of attorney! We will definitely not do that but will never visit a Truworths store again!!
