Barko financial service sharing personal information and contract with family members without consent
Breach of privacy and harassment Barko Financial Services sent agents to my home to demand payment, which is already intimidating. Worse, they allowed my family members to take photos of my private loan contract and share it on WhatsApp and with other parties without my consent. This is a serious violation of my privacy and POPIA. I escalated to the Area Manager who was made aware, but the damage is done - my financial information is now circulating. Debt collection must be lawful and respect dignity/privacy. Barko’s conduct is unprofessional and ********. I am reporting this to the National Credit Regulator and Information Regulator.1 reply
