Latest service delivery (May'2026) hasn't been good! I've been with RSAWEB for over 6/7 years now, and since my last issue with connectivity I haven't really needed to engage with them, and that's a good thing; in my area the partnership is between RSAWEB/Octotel (FNU). Now, my latest interaction (May'2026) hasn't been what I expected from RSAWEB — Here's a brief summary: I was on a 75/75 Mbps connection, which worked optimally for my internet connectivity needs. Price increase in May from R835 to R899; I asked for a better price cause R899 is so close to the price of a 100/100 Mbps connection. First, I was offered the 100/100 Mbps connection at R955/m (website showed R954/m), then after discussion they offered it at R915/m. Cost of living is expensive, so I thought, 75/75 Mbps works just great for me, why do I need to upgrade the connection. So, I asked again for a better price on the 75/75 Mbps connection, but no luck. I'm gonna put in a wireless fibre as a back-end and then I'll migrate. For now I'm gonna downgrade with RSAWEB to 55/55 Mbps to save on cost. I just hope it's gonna be fast enough for me to work without any issues; fingers crossed.
Placed an order via the Sixty60 app Thurs. 27 Nov @ around 8am selecting delivery period 6-7pm same day. Order placed and piad for; received confirmation email... all good until the "wheels came off". the delivery never happened and later the evening I checked the Sixty60 app on my phone and it showed delivery rescheduled for the following day at 11am-12pm, then a couple of hours later rescheduled again for next day (Saturday) 11am-12pm, instead of the original promised delivery of Thursday @ 6-7pm. I sent emails to <[email protected]>, and for every email I received an automated response message from Sixty60 Help Centre (with different reference numbers in subject line). I called the "help centre" at 0800 00 6060 and after the second try got an agent. I asked to speak to a manager; he called me back, but (Aldo) sounded frustrated on the phone. He made one excuse after another, even going as far as blaming politics and societal issues out of there control. According to the convo it sounds as if this type of thing is NOT going to be resolved in the near future. Shoprite/Checkers (Sixty60) breaking its "promise" is causing a breakdown in the trust relationship between the consumer and the organisation. Without trust, your best price and product becomes worthless to the consumer, because without trust the consumer cannot believe that anything you say is truthful and honest. Rather under-promise and over-deliver, but when it comes to time, it's our most precious value item, don't abuse our time.
