Hi Can you please assist on this matter ,i was promised for a freezer room to be installed till today they haven’t and refusing to pay my money they keep making empty promises Sent from my iPhone Begin forwarded message: From: Malusi Mbhele <[email protected]> Date: 18 March 2026 I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my recent experience with your Johannesburg branch, specifically with salesmen Shaheed and Obre, and manager Lorenzo. On 2/03/2026 I paid R106,000 for a cold room and freezer room. Shortly after, due to unforeseen circumstances (a car accident), I requested to cancel the cold room order. Despite my right to cancel, Shaheed and Lorenzo refused and treated me rudely. Lorenzo even insulted me over the phone, using profanity, and later blocked my calls and WhatsApp messages. I then drove to Durban and spoke with Zahire, who handled the matter professionally and ethically. We agreed that R30,000 would be refunded and R15,000 would remain as store credit. Zahire’s intervention was the only positive part of this experience. However, despite repeated follow-ups, I have not received my refund. Calls are ignored, promises of video proof of the freezer room were not honored, and communication remains unprofessional. This behavior is unacceptable for a company that claims to serve customers with integrity. I demand immediate resolution of my refund and an apology for the misconduct of your Johannesburg staff. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will continue to escalate it publicly, including on HelloPeter, to warn other customers about the ********* practices I experienced. Sincerely, Malusi Sent from my iPhone
I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the appalling service I received from Empangeni Auto Renovators. My vehicle was handed over to them on 15 July 2025 following a minor front-end accident. Despite my insurance approving the repairs on 18 July, the car remains unfixed 60 days later, with no transparency, professionalism, or urgency from the staff or management. 👎 Staff Incompetence & Poor Communication • Reception: The receptionist lacks basic customer service skills—no diary, no record-keeping, and every call requiresrepeating the same information. Her attitude is dismissive and unprofessional. • Faith Fanyela (Service Advisor): Demonstrated a lack of knowledge and training. Even my insurance assessor, Dumisani, noted her inability to handle reports correctly and questioned her suitability for the role. • Lelanie Merensky (New Service Advisor): Promised that all parts were received by 20 August, yet the car remains untouched. Her updates have been misleading and inconsistent. 😡 Management Disrespect • Shaun (Director): His behavior is beyond rude—he undermines clients and shows no respect for customers or staff. When I raised concerns, he refused to acknowledge any fault and told me he was no longer interested in fixing my car, instructing my insurer to find another panel beater. 📉 Timeline of Failures • 15 July: Car received. • 18 July: Insurance approval. • Mid-August: Assessor confirmed parts delivery and estimated 2 weeks for repairs. • 20 August: Service advisor confirmed parts were received. • 12 September: Promised completion date missed. • 10 September: I was informed the car would only be ready by 19 September, ruining my birthday plans and family trip. To make matters worse, I was recently told the left shocks are damaged, despite earlier claims that suspension and engine checks were completed and everything was fine. ❌ Final Verdict Empangeni Auto Renovators has shown a complete lack of professionalism, competence, and respect. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Their staff is undertrained, their communication is chaotic, and their leadership is hostile and dismissive. Customers deserve better—and people need to be warned.
