Good Morning Sweepsouth Sweep South is a great app, I have used this app many times. However, recently I have been disappointed with the service received. Tuesday, 19 May 2026, requested a Sweep Star for an indoor cleaning and ironing. I was very disappointed with the service received. I even had a look on your website for what specifically I can expect from my Sweep Star for an indoor clean. In the living room: -Dusting of furniture and surfaces (not done) -Mop/vacuum of floors (doesn't look like it was done, if it was done, then not properly) Kitchen: -Wash dishes (not properly, I saw more than one dish that still had hard food on it, and the cups still had a rim at the bottom of the cup) -Wipe down of walls, not done (where it was visibly and clearly needed) Bedrooms: -dust furniture (not done) Bathroom: -Shower not cleaned (I specifically asked her to clean the 2x shelves in the shower from the soap, it was not done) -bin in bathroom was not emptied Ironing: -not the best ironing (it was less than 10 items) In general, my experience with Sweep South, most of the times the Sweep Stars don't move furniture/ carpets/beds to mop/ sweep, they simply clean around the objects Also, I always pick the arrival time for the Sweep Star to be 7am, so that I can explain to them where the cleaning products are before I leave for work, I have yet to have a Sweep Star arrive on time. My latest Sweep Star tapped the arrived button before she arrived, when I saw that and then phoned to find out where she was, as she, according to me, had not arrived. She stated that she had tapped the button by mistake, a very convenient mistake in my opinion. Not sure what she was doing the whole day in my 2-bed apartment, but I can say with cer*****y she wasn't mopping or sweeping My most recent Sweep Star was Mercy Chauke, perhaps you can train her in ironing. Ever Chitetema was excellent, unfortunately I couldn't manage to book her again, even on different days. Another thing that is frustrating with Sweepsouth is that there is almost no consistency with the SweepStar assigned, even with the repeat bookings, I have to re-explain each time, and every single day I have a SweepSouth booking I am late for work, because the Sweep Star is late. Please change the arrival time from 7am to 7:30am. Clearly the Sweepstars are incapable of arriving at that time. Regards Megan Naude
We stayed in the bush camp/ glamping tents. It's the price of self-catering, with the lack of facilities of a bare campsite. Not to mention - VERY DIRTY If I can elaborate, there are 12x beds, yet only 5x chairs (we booked for 6x). The dish cloths were dirty ( a lovely grey colour- you could see they were originally white) , the sheets on the bed were dirty (a lovely mark of what we suspect was dried up snot on the one double bed) in the other unit there were 2x splotches on the sheet that was either blood or hot chocolate, I prefer to think it was hot chocolate. There was only 1x sharp/steak knife, everything was a little bit broken, the oven didn't work, the stove plates; only some worked, the kitchen sink was dirty, the sink in the kitchen has no hot water, there is no freezer, our meat went bad because of this, there was no braai dish or salad bowl, sp**** is an understatement. The shower in the one tent unit didn't have hot water, we then reported it to the owner/manager. Someone did come, we suspect that he solved the problem by swapping the empty gas cylinder with the one that was working from the tent next to it, because shortly afterward, we discovered that now the original faulty shower had hot water, but now the other unit that originally had hot water, doesn't have hot water anymore. I suggest they clean; a little a wipe down with handy andy will make the world of difference, change the sheets every once in a while and provide their paying guests with the bare essentials that one expects from a self-catering unit. (A working freezer would be great in the hot low-veld climate) Overall would NOT RECOMMEND
