SARS is the worst of the worst of all government service providers, they insist on customers waiting 21 days for results but they can insist on responses with in shorter time frames, they can insist on reinstating 'old debt' including penalties but have excuses when you query errors related to the old debt sayning it is too long ago. I had a telephonic appointment for 15:30 this afternoon they phone me several times throughout the day, my phone on silent because i am at work, eventually i get to answer as i am getting out of my car in a rush to pick up my house keys to be ready and settled by 15:30, so the agent says it is fine she will phone me again at 15:30, she ends up only phoning me at 16:10, she listens to my issue first saying that she cannot see the document that i loaded as proof but then proceeds to try and brush it of that it is too late to query only when i start indicating that SARS is then *****ing my money because they are now expecting me to pay the amount twice she tells me to please hold on for two minutes while she goes to speak to her supervisor see what she can do she and tells me to please not drop the call, 50 min later i am still holding and by then on 60 min (17:10) the call drops. That is not service. SARS get your act together.
This is the worst service delivery I have ever experienced. I had an incident which resulted in damage to my car, I immediately came to a standstill and contacted my dotsure to report and arrange for a tow in since the wheel would not turn due to the damage. Since I had no passengers nor any 3rd party involved was involved I did not think that I needed to report it to the police. The agent i reported the incident too, whom had also arranged for the towing of the vehicle did not think it her duty to remind me to report it to the police. The following day registered the claim online and indeed did indicate that I had not reported it to police since there were no 3rd party or passenger involved. Nobody from the insurance thought it necessary to make contact me and 'remind' me that i should actually still report the incident even though there were nobody else involved and should I not do this, I will be penalized with and additional 10% or in R4500 excess. Only after the 24hour window to report the incident to the police di they phone me to remind me that these penalties are in place. I then sent a written complaint to the listed e-mail address to which I have till this day not received any reply. They have no sense of duty or proper service delivery since it then also took them nearly a week to get an assessor out to see the vehicle. I will never recommend them to anyone ever again. They are just out to make a buck at their clients expense.
