SACAP has been incredible! My Bachelor in App**** Social Science not only challenged me academically but also supported me every step of the way. The lecturers are genuinely caring, always encouraging, and make learning exciting and accessible. The college community feels like a second family, and I’ve grown so much personally and professionally. I can’t recommend SACAP enough for anyone wanting to thrive in a supportive, inspiring environment!
Review: I have been without electricity in Eersteriver, Cape Town since 25 May 2025. I reported the issue to Eskom immediately (Reference: 954395123) and was told a technician would be dispatched within 7 working days (between 9am–4pm). In the meantime, I’ve: Spoken to the Eskom chatbot (useless) Called customer service multiple times Escalated the issue via my local ward councillor Clearly explained that this is a medical emergency, as I am caring for my severely ill mother Despite this, nothing happened. A consultant eventually told me the matter was escalated to a supervisor due to its urgency — yet still, no action. Then, on 4 June, I received a call from Eskom asking when would be a good time to come. I said “as soon as possible, in the morning”. The caller confirmed they’d arrive on 5 June. Today is 6 June. No one has come. It's now Friday — meaning we’ll be without power for yet another weekend. That’s 12 full days without electricity. This is not just inconvenient — it’s inhumane. I work from home and have been forced to travel between households just to get online. I’ve lost income, had to take leave, and food is spoiling daily. Eskom’s handling of this — especially after acknowledging the medical emergency — is negligent and completely unacceptable. Sort this out.
