I recently booked a Wait & Save trip expecting a slightly longer wait in exchange for a cheaper fare, but the experience was ridiculous. First, I waited around 10 minutes just for the app to find a driver. Then I waited another 5 minutes for the driver to confirm the trip. After that, I was assigned a driver who was approximately 13 minutes away. I waited another 12 minutes, only for the driver to ask ME to cancel the trip. At that point, I had wasted a huge amount of time without receiving any service at all. What exactly is the acceptable waiting time for Wait & Save? Because this experience was excessive and unreasonable. Uber should clearly communicate expected delays upfront instead of leaving customers waiting indefinitely. To make matters worse, Uber’s in-app Help Center is extremely frustrating to use. It is not user-friendly and makes it unnecessarily difficult to report issues or get meaningful assistance from support. Overall, this was a very poor customer experience with bad communication, wasted time, and ineffective customer support. Uber seriously needs to improve both the reliability of Wait & Save and the quality of its customer service.
