I have had some good and some really bad experiences with Pharmacy Direct. They really should work on the communication and should really have emergency contact details. They should place much more care on sending out medication on time, that said we also had great help, some of the staff going the extra mile. My last complaint was really sorted out, and I am grateful for that. Yes my child was without her sensor for a few days and it should never have happened. But they did try to rectify it as soon as possible. Unfortunately not everyone can survive if meds is late. So we should be able to reach them at any time if urgent.
They always send my childs diabetic medication, but communication is absolutely terrible from their side and I already complaining several times. My last parcel didn’t arrive yet and was supposed to be send around 15 April. I tried to call (but they are closed) as we still haven’t received it and had to replace my childs sensor last night, and they haven’t send the sensor. We had an absolutely crazy month moving house mom in hospital my knee damaged my child sick, so I didn’t register they didn’t deliver up to the sensor expired as the rest of the meds was still enough. I am very disappointed i did speak to them on the 15 to make sure they have the new address and received confirmation that the address was changed but parcel didn’t arrive. Even the last few months I had to every time call 2 or 3 times before we actually received the medication. My child’s life depended on the medication. Very disappointed and no emergency number to call them on.
I’m doing this review on behalf of my Boss,(it is a bit of a mixed review with some good points and some bad points) the Dr asked me to order 2 stretch tents for a funeral. I placed the order with the product number but the quote was for a different tent apparently and I wasn’t able to see the product number on the quote but we made the payment, at the end the dr said its fine its nearly the same and not much price difference, (just don’t know why you send a product number if they still can’t get it right) we made payment, but forgot to make Immediate payment, we send the proof pf payment to them but Mpho refused to accept the proof of payment and said they will only process the invoice once the money reflects in there account. It’s for a funeral, so it’s a bit urgent. Therefore the drs wife called and asked what now and at the end Mpho said we should do another payment that will show immediately. It was R4500 so its not small and they cant trust the dr but wants us to trust them, but fine we made the payment and the courier was able to pick it up the next day. And we received the tents but no installation instructions were given so I asked for instructions but didn’t get any response. Luckily we fond someone that was able to put the tents up. So that crisis was solved but with no help from Mpho. The refund was processed quickly and I received proof of the payment today, so I am very grateful for that. At least they were honest enough to refund us and the tent came in time. But it cost us making the payment 2time and a lot of extra stress. At the end I give a 5 star because the tent came and the promise of a refund did materialise. Customer service isn’t the best especially after sales. But we are still extremely grateful to have been refunded promptly. I can recommend them if you know the product or you ask all questions upfront don’t think they will help you after the sale unless it was discussed before the sale. Make sure everything is clear and you know exactly what you are paying for. And if possible check before accepting the parcel. And if possible still before you leave the premises we couldn’t have checked as we are from a different town. I do think Mpho may be overwhelmed and overworked and maybe that’s why you don’t get the after sales service you may need. I think the store is big and a lot of work for this one person.
Why is it so difficult to call a customer? There is absolutely no communication from there side. I called on Wednesday to ask not to send one thing on the scrips, but then by the time I called apparently the parcel already left. Instead of informing me they requested the parcel to be returned to them from the courier, by that time the parcel was already in Welcome. We received a sms that parcel left on Thursday, called again on Friday as courier said parcel is in welcome and because its medication that must stay cold I didn’t want it to stay at couriers to long as Im not sure how they keep it cold. I need my child medication urgently and the parcel travels up and down in the country and every time I call they just say sorry. My child is type 1 diabetic. Sorry won’t save her life if I don’t have medication. I didn’t mind the extra, we will always use it in future. As I already explained on Friday they can send it. If they told me Wednesday it was already out I would have said no problem, but they never call. They never told me it is already out. They just do what they do and don’t care at all. Its now Monday after noon and still no parcel and apparently its on its way back to medipost. When will I get my child's medication? I’m very disappointed.
