I am extremely disappointed with the service received at Cattle Baron Tyger Waterfront on Mother’s Day. We had a booking for 2:30pm, yet we had to repeatedly call the waiter just to be attended to. Our order was only taken at 3:00pm, and by 4:13pm we still had not received any food or proper updates on the delay. Our meals eventually arrived at 4:25pm. We were seated in the cellar area where service was extremely poor. No staff members came to check on us unless we physically got up to ask for assistance ourselves. Throughout the entire wait, there was a complete lack of communication and customer care. Considering how busy Mother’s Day is every year, management should have ensured proper planning, staffing, and customer service measures were in place. What made the experience even worse was when my mother-in-law politely asked whether we would be getting served, a staff member named Sariska laughed/smirked instead of handling the concern professionally. This was incredibly disrespectful and dismissive. Dessert was only served at 5:05pm, turning what should have been a special family celebration into a frustrating and disappointing experience. Our waiter was Saidi. Sadly, this experience fell far below expectations, especially for such an established restaurant.
Hi, my father opened an account with TFG… for me (his daughter). We were then told that in order for me to do purchases, I would need a secondary card. He’s often traveling, therefore we agreed. After back and forth travelling from Ladybrand to Bloem, he signed the secondary card holder permission form. They scanned it, emailed it to me. I signed it, they scanned it in again and sent it to customer service. ALL they told me was now I wait until I receive an SMS to collect the card. That was not the case, he then needed to call customer service and then forensics called him for verification. After this lengthy process I finally received the sms today confirming my secondary card was ready for collection at any Foschini. I go into the store, they call customer service and THEN tell me… we need to collect the card together!!!!!! This was not once mentioned to either of us throughout this entire freaking (almost 2 week process). They KNEW we were not in the same province hence being willing to scan the form and having us sign them. They did all the verifications they possibly could and no point did anyone think it’s important to mention this??? I’m in Cape Town and only seeing him next year. The Foschini team in canal walk is useless, customer service is useless! I want a resolution asap or I will be doing more than just logging a hello Peter complaint!
In August 2024, I purchased a service plan with a warranty policy for my vehicle. In December 2024, I submitted a claim for a clutch replacement. At the time I signed up, I was told that 35 parts, including the clutch, were covered under the warranty. Based on this information, I went ahead and took out the policy. However, when I tried to make the claim for the clutch, I was informed it wasn’t covered and was classified as "wear and tear." I was extremely frustrated, as I felt this was false advertising. I ended up having to cover the cost of the clutch replacement myself, which came to R6,500. The entire reason I signed up for the policy was to be protected financially in cases like this. Then, on May 8, 2025, I received a call about the same policy. I explained my previous experience to the operator. She assured me that the clutch is indeed 100% covered. I spoke with Zamokuhle Matsebula during this call and feel I should be reimbursed.
good day, I've been at the table bay branch since 11am this morning and finished at 5pm. when I got there, I realized the process started was different to what I had requested (a tint instead of highlights) I asked the lady what she was doing and what she explained to me seemed part of the process. I rectified the situation which ended up costing me more than I was quoted (not happy at all about this). after she dried my hair and paying 1200 I left with orange-like roots and my ends were darker than they were before. I cannot express to you how unhappy I am, I am in a wedding next week and you can imagine how embarrassing this is going to be?! also it was a half head of highlights. my hair is darker than what it was before I went in and roots are orange. I have noticed you do not comment of your reviews so I will post this on every platform until I get a response
