Very efficient. They wre willing to help with a non standard request and we're very communicative throughout.
It is truly astounding how poorly and without soul this company is run. It is clear to me that Afhco does not seek to "Enhance Your Lifestyle" like they claim, but are just one of many leech-like corporations that are sadly taking over what should be a person-driven industry. I will start with their estate managers. It is shocking to me how such unprofessional and rude people were ever put in charge. I dealt with 2 estate managers in my too long stay of 1 year. The manager for The Falls was constantly tardy. They would leave me on read when I WhatsApped them and it took over a month to get someone to come and fix our toilet. At one stage the entire estates WiFi was out and he tasked me with liasing with the ISP to get the matter sorted. When time came to review my unit, I took time out of a work day to be there and was left waiting for 40 minutes. Thinking perhaps it was just The Falls that was poorly managed I looked to move to another property of theirs, Northgate Heights. There the estate manager spoke very brashly with me, seemed irritated that I was asking about moving there and promised on several occasions to phone me back with more information, but never did. It was at this stage I realised that all of Afhco was atrociously run. The units themselves are to be fair quite nice for the price. But water takes too long to heat up, then is cold in less than 5 minutes. Cupboards are misaligned, doors handles are loose and cheap construction can be seen everywhere. The final nail in the coffin is their customer service. I enquired over 4 times with their customer service with regards to maintenance issues, and only 1 was ever fixed. When it came to refunding my deposit, the process took a mind baffling 18 working days to fix. Almost an entire month. This was with nigh weekly calls from me asking about the refund, and then being informed in the middle of the month that they were waiting for a document from my estate manager, which should have been handed to them the day I moved out. I was then charged R1600 to repaint the bedroom walls. Not sure whats in the paint for it to cost that much. Overall a learning experience for me, but not a positive one.
