I have been working from home for a while now and unfortunately using Telkom router. I am trully disappointed at the lack of accountability and urgency in customer service. My router lost connection on 02/03/2021. I made a call immediately to the Telkom call center after which I received a call number (56844573) and a message to say they'll attend to the problem as soon as possible. When I went on the telkom app there was an appointment saying the technician will attend to my issue on 03/03/2021. Upon calling the on 03/03/2021 I received an escalation number (101378). At 13h00 on 03/03/2021 without having received any assistance since the initial call I called again and spoke to NANDIPHA NAKA only to be told that the technician has rescheduled attending to my issue to 04/03/2021. Already I have not been working for the past 2 days as a result of the faulty connection. Upon enquiring as to what is to happen now that I have escalated the matter and still no service has been rendered, the agent said there is not much to do as all she can do is send the issue to the technician (basically do the same thing that was done yesterday and today). I requested to talk to her manager/ the person she reports to and to my surprise she has no manager and reports to herself (her words). I am still without internet facing the posibility of the 3rd day without doing any work. Trully disappointed, I really hope there are other viable options on the market for a reliable internet connection, options that would appreciate its customers and the fact that there are reasons as to why we are paying for the internet connection/ contracts we have with them.
